Getting ten in any statistical category in a game is impressive. Getting ten in two constitutes its own category, a double double. It’s hard enough to pull down ten boards or dish out ten assists, but when a stat sheet includes double digits in two categories that is special. Four of last year’s top ten in creating double doubles return for the 2020 season. Here is a look at those players who aren’t satisfied filling up one column of the stat sheet.

Jace Whiting

Jace Whiting managed eleven double doubles in his junior year. All eleven were created from scoring and rebounds. Scoring over twenty points a game and averaging nine rebounds a game means every game is a potential double double.

Evan Walker

Evan Walker also pulled down enough rebounds seven times to match his double digit scoring. Look for his improved consistency to increase his double doubles in 2020.

Paul Yenor

Paul had five double doubles last year, but unlike his counterparts on this list, he missed a few due to his scoring. Look for him to improve on his consistent scoring in his senior year, which will make him a double double machine.

Covy Kelly

Covy has the scoring down. He will almost certainly get a single double every night in points. His rebounding often gets him close to a double double, which he accomplished four times in 2019. He should improve on that in 2020 and with increased attention on him as a scorer, he might threaten triple doubles if he can consistently get others involved when he is outnumbered.
