Elite 14 Showcase: Prospects To Watch

The Elite 14 is one of the top preseason events in America. Today I share with you some of prospects to watch that will he playing in this event. Prospects To Watch: Point Guards Bijan Cortes | PG | Kingfisher | 2020 Cortes is a silky smooth ball handler who has a tight handle and plays the game with a good pace and throws nifty passes to open teammates. Imo Essien | PG | Bishop Lynch | 2021 Essien knows how to run a team and understands how to use his ball-handling ability to get to his spots and create for himself or for others. Julian Larry | PG | Ischool Entrepreneurial | 2020 Larry is an athletic lead guard who is fast with the ball in the open court and is a really good ball distributor. Mike Miles | PG | Lancaster | 2020 Miles is a stocky built guard who plays with an excellent change of pace and is under control when he is handling the basketball. Miles is a good scorer that has a nice jumper off the bounce. Daishen Nix | PG | Trinity International | 2020 Nix is an elusive point guard who has crazy court vision and makes others better with the ball in his hands. He plays under control and is a crafty scorer that creates space with his nifty handles. The five star guard is fun to watch and plays the game with flash but he's also under control at the same time. Austin Nunez | PG | Cornerstone Christian| 2022 Nunez is a speedy guard that loves to pick up full-court on the defensive end and will harass opposing players with his lateral quickness. He is also a very good shooter that can knock down multiple threes when open. Zhuric Phelps | PG | Duncanville | 2021 Phelps is a talented guard that has handles and good athletic ability. He has good feel for the game and is never out of control. Jaylin Posey | PG | Grand Prairie | 2020 Posey is a chiseled guard who has nifty handles and has a deadly pull-up jumper. He is a tough scorer that can get buckets at a high rate. Wade Taylor | PG | Lancaster | 2021 Taylor is really fast and quick with the ball and knows how to change directions well. He is a good scoring point guard that uses his handles to create space and jumpers off the dribble. Jordan Thompson | PG | Southwood | 2020 Thompson is a crafty point guard who can really shoot it off the bounce and is a strong facilitator who plays with good tempo. Shooting Guards Trey Alexander | SG | Heritage Hall | 2021 Alexander is a crafty guard that can score the basketball from all three levels. He is one of the top two guards in the nation for his class. Ty Berry | SG | Sunrise Christian | 2020 Berry is a good athlete who is comfortable with the ball and makes solid passes and can also hit the three when open. Keyonte George | SG | Lewisville | 2022 George is a prolific scorer that can score it in a plethora of ways. George has an advanced offensive game and he knows how to get to his spots off the bounce for scoring opportunities. The Dallas native guard is one of the most exciting young scoring guards in his class. Rylan Griffin | SG | Richardson | 2022 Griffin is a gifted wing who has a smooth jumper and has the athleticism plus size that you want in a two guard. Griffin has tremendous upside and potential for his age. Brendan Hausen | SG | Amarillo | 2022 Hausen has swagger, skill and confidence plus a nice jumper. He is more of a scorer than a shooter because of his talent to score from more than one level on the floor. Tyler Mcghie | SG | Denton Guyer | 2020 Mcghie is a three point specialist who has good size for position and a nice looking stroke from behind the arc. Jake Milkereit | SG | Bishop Lynch | 2020 Milkereit is a nice shooting guard who has range and quick release. He's got really good elevation on his jump shot and occasionally will finish above the rim in transition. K.J. Pruitt | SG | Lewisville | 2020 Pruitt is a big combination guard who is versatile and has good playmaking ability and nice bounce. Trey Phipps | SG | Booker T Washington | 2020 The three-point bomber has a quick release and doesn't take him very long to get shot ready. Phipps is one of the deadliest three-point shooters in his class. Noah Shelby | SG | St. Marks | 2022 Shelby is a deadly shooter that you must know where he is at all times because if you don't he'll make you pay for it by knocking down three after three. Jayden Stone | SG | Sunrise Christian | 2020 Stone is a skilled two guard who has good footwork and a feathery stroke that doesn't hesitate to let it go when given any room. Matthew Stone | SG | Kingfisher | 2021 Stone is a big time shooter that moves well without the ball and gets to his spots. He plays with a relentless motor and will also use his deceptive first step to get to the rack. Bryce Thompson | SG | Booker T Washington | 2020 Thompson is one of the most efficient scorers in the country who can go on a scoring frenzy at any time. The five-star guard can score in an array of ways by using his footwork and handles to separate space from defenders to get him jump shot off. Rondel Walker | SG | Putnam City WestWalker is a combo guard who can really shoot it from multiple spots on the floor and is comfortable putting ball on the deck and getting to the rim or pulling up for mid range jumpers. He also has quick hands and is a really good defender. Casen Wallace | SG | Richardson | 2020 Wallace is a two way player who is a relentless attacking guard that knows how to take angles to get into the seams of the defense. He is one of the best on ball defenders in the state. Arterio Morris | SG | Kimball | 2022 Morris is a fluid athlete who has skill and really good athleticism for an off ball guard. He knows how to use his handles to get into tight and will explode to the basket. He is one of the top players in the state for his class. Elijah Wood | SG | Cornerstone Christian | 2020 Wood is combo guard who can handle it in the open court and will dazzle the crowd with nice passes or throw down vicious one hand slams. Small Forward Quevian Adger | Ischool Entrepreneurial | 2020 Adger is a wing who can hit shots when open and excels in the open court. He is a good athlete and finisher in transition. Kendall Brown | SF | Sunrise | 2020 Brown is a super talented three-man who handles the ball like a guard and gets off the ground with ease. The five star Minnesota native is a gifted young man who is really hard to guard because he knows how to use his skill, ability, and length to score the rock. Trae Clayton | SF | Faith Family | 2022 Clayton is a gifted athlete that has strong skill and a solid shooter who you must close out right on or he will use his lethal first step to get by you with ease and finish above the rim. Harrison Ingram | SF | St. Marks | 2022 Ingram is a do it all forward that can play on or off the ball and has his IQ and cerebral instincts that allows him to see plays happen before they develop and throw passes that lead to points. The five star wing is one of the most polished players in his class. Andrew Laczkowski | SF | St. Marks | 2020 Laczkowski is a ultraskilled prospect who has a high IQ and can really drill it from deep. He's a good passing wing that doesn't do things outside of his skill set. Joey Madimba | SF | Mansfield Timberview | 2020 Madimba is a bouncy wing that plays with a chip on his shoulder and is a fierce competitor who takes pride in guarding the best player on the opposing team. He is a smooth perimeter player that knifes his way to the rim and will elevate over defenders around the rim. Marcell Mccreary | OD Wyatt | SF | 2021 Mccreary has nice skill and can either attack you off the dribble or knock down threes if you give him to much space. Jordan Nesbitt | SF | St. Louis Christian | 2021 Nesbitt has the ability to play multiple positions on the offensive end because of his handle and playmaking ability. Damon Nicholas | SF | Duncanville | 2021 Nicholas is a tough wing who is a good defender who is good at slashing to the cup. One of the best two way players in the state for his class Micah Peavy | SF | Duncanville | 2020 Peavy is a ultra smooth wing who has a nice first step and is really tough to stop in transition. He has great body control and has shown improvement on his jump shot. The four star has a chance to earn another star if he shows that he can make consistent jumpers from the perimeter and create more for himself off the dribble. Colin Smith | SF | St. Marks | 2022 Smith is long wing that can is mismatch because of his shooting ability and capability to get by opposing perimeter players off a triple threat and rip through moves. Jordan Walsh | SF | Faith Family | 2022 Walsh is long and a very explosive young prospect who likes to attempt to dunk at any given chance. Walsh has all of the physical tools to make very special down the road. Tre White | Cornerstone Christian | 2022 White is a multipurpose player who can throw dimes or break you down off the dribble and hit jumpers or slash to the rim. The Kansas Commit is an all around basketball player. Power Forwards Zach Clemence | PF | Sunrise Christian | 2021 Clemence is a long stretch four who likes to face up and can use his dribble to blow past smaller defenders. He has solid post moves but is more perimeter-oriented at this stage of his career. He is one of the best forwards in the class 2021. Sam Godwin | PF | Southwood | 2020 The Wofford commit Godwin is a mobile forward that has nice bounce and isn't afraid to battle with you on the inside. He has good fundamentals and feel for a player his size. Ronald Holland | PF | Duncanville | 2022 Holland is a hybrid forward who is athletic and loves to rebound. He is considered one of the best players in the state for the class of 2023. Didier Maleng | PF | Lawton Christian | 2022 Maleng is a tall lanky four man that can face you up and hit shots around the key, or finish near the cup. He is active on the inside and tries to block and alter shots near his area. Jerrell Colbert | PF | | Cornerstone Christian | 2021 Colbert is a pogo stick forward that has wiry strength and utilizes his athleticism and length to block everything and try to tear the rim down off dump passes. Center Austin Lewis | PF | Ischool Entrepreneurial | 2020 Lewis is an athletic big man who is slender but plays the game hard and tries to finish everything near the basket. Cade Hornecker | C | Amarillo | 2022 Hornecker is a tall big that has long arms and a good feel for a player his size. Hornecker has above average post moves and is a good interior passer who can step out the paint and hit mid-range jumpers.
