Team Summary: The Defending 6A. Texas State Champions the Duncanville Panthers are loaded with depth and talent at every position. The Panthers have the pieces they need to repeat for another state title.
(2.) Houston Yates
Top Players: 2020 PG Gerald Doakes, 2020 PG Elijah Elliott, 2020 PG Rubin Jones, 2020 SG Antwon Norman 2021 PF Allen Udemadu, 2021 C. Chuks Isitua.
Team Summary: Houston Yates has a lot of new faces this season and with those new additions the Lions are even more of a legit contender to win the 4A state title this season.
(3.)Cornerstone Christian
Top Players: 2020 SG Elijah Wood, 2022 SF Tre White, 2022 PG Austin Nunez, 2020 PF Jordan Wood, 2021 PF Jerrell Colbert.
Team Summary: The San Antonio based high school squad is composed of multiple division 1 prospects.
(4.)Lancaster
Top Players: 2020 PG Mike Miles, 2020 SG Marcus Foster, 2021 PG Wade Taylor.
Team Summary: The very athletic Lancaster Tigers are a guard-oriented squad that has multiple players that can fill it up.
(5.)St. Marks
Top Players: 2022 PG Noah Shelby, 2022 SF Colin Smith, 2021 SF Harrison Ingram, 2021 SG Corvin Oprea, 2020 SF Andrew Laczkowski.
Team Summary: St. Marks isn’t your normal private school team. The Lions are balanced on both ends of the floor and have a Five- Star 2021 Wing Harrison Ingram leading them.
(6.)Allen
Top Players: 2021 PG Manny Obaseki, 2020 SG Thailand Elder, 2021 CG Mason Gibson, 2021 SF Ian Motta, 2020 SF Bryce Kennedy.
Team Summary: The Eagles are probably the biggest mystery on this list because it’s very hard to indicate how good they actually are. On paper, the Eagles have one of the most enticing Starting lineups in the state of Texas.
(7.) Faith Family
Top Players: 2022 PG Dallas Hobbs, 2020 SG Isaiah Leblanc 2022 SF Trae Clayton, 2022 SF Jordan Walsh, 2020 C Darius Miles.
Team Summary: The Oak Cliff boys are the Defending 4A Texas State Champions and with the addition of several transfers, they look like they can make a legitimate run at another title but they’ll have to get through a lot of good teams including the super-stacked Houston Yates team.
(8.)Morton Ranch
2020 PG L.J. Cryer, 2020 PG. Westley Sellers, 2020 PF Eddie Lampkin.
Top Players: Morton Ranch has several players that have played multiple years on the varsity level. Four-star guard L.J. Cryer and Three Star big man Eddie Lampkin will have to play huge all season long for their team to have a chance to make a deep run in the playoffs.
Team Summary:
(9.) Dickinson
Top Players: 2020 PG Tramon Mark, 2020 SG Marcus Williams.
Team Summary: My number 9 ranked team is out of Houston Texas. The Dickinson Gators have a dynamic backcourt in Four-Star guard Tramon Mark and Three-Star guard Marcus Williams
(10.) Ischool of Lewisville
Top Players: 2020 PG. Julian Larry, 2022 PG. Cruz Davis 2020 SF Quevian Adger, 2020 PF Jay Wilson, 2020 PF Austin Lewis.
Team Summary: The Ischool Of Lewisville Cougars might be ranked too low on this list but they’ll have the opportunity to climb up the rankings in the next few months. The Dallas based team will play some of the best in-state teams and also a couple of national powerhouses as well.
