But, things will get started this year with a number of players in the 2020 class. One of those that is sneaking on the radar of some schools is Boonville’s Hunter Bruce.
Bruce, a 6’6 forward whose best skill is his ability to shoot, has quietly been developing over the last two years and is the guy for Boonville this coming year as a senior. He’s grown in height and strength and went from more of a guard to a spread forward who can rip off threes pretty quickly.
That skill for his position is a coveted one and this summer with Pocket City 2020, he was able to show that enough to get on the radar of some top local programs. Schools like Wabash College, Franklin College, IU-East, Urbana, and Kentucky Wesleyan have reached out.
Hunter says he will take a visit tomorrow to Wabash College. The first of a handful this Fall. He will follow that up with a visit to Franklin College on October 2nd.
His skill set fits really well for DIII and NAIA as he can switch a bit between the 4 and 5 and allow his offense to keep things spread out on the other end. He has shown that he can drive a little bit but with more time in a college training program and skill development, he could see that aspect of his game work itself forward once in college.
