The South Wake Athletic Conference saw the Holly Springs Golden Hawks go 12-0 with UVA commit Kadin Shedrick leading the way during the regular season. Things could go differently in 2019-20.

Apex Friendship

Apex Friendship is probably one of the more deeper squads in the South Wake Athletic Conference with NC State commit Nick Farrar leading the way. Aside from Farrar, there's Jayden Beloti, Jeremiah Baker, Jackson Spencer and Kenny Noland. Keep an eye on them to make a deep run in states.

Holly Springs

Marcus Elliott, Kaleb Scott and Dante Kiesenhofer are three names that should get a lot of attention from opposing teams in the SWAC. Elliott can run the point while Scott and Kiesenhofer will be a burden to guard in the frontcourt.

Garner Magnet

Garner Magnet went 9-3 in SWAC league play this past season, losing to Apex Friendship once and Holly Springs twice. With 2022 Asa White and 2020s Mekhi Townes and Chris Nobles back, they'll look to beat them more often in 2019-20.

Middle Creek

The fourth spot is only a preliminary one for the Middle Creek Mustangs given their potential with 2021s Tharius Suggs, Sam Perez, Cooper Land and company. They've got the size and talent that could put them near the top of the league by season's end.

South Garner

The South Garner Titans went just 2-10 in conference play in 2018-19. With a team full of sophomores and juniors, things could end differently for them. Josh Johnson and Julius Peacock are a few names to keep an eye on.

Apex

Apex will be under a new head coach in 2019-20 so the expectations may not be too high. 2022 guard Zane Cogdell and 2021 guard Logan Adams are two prospects that should get a ton of looks for Apex this upcoming season.

Fuquay - Varina

Fuquay-Varina is another squad that won just two games in SWAC play in 2018-19. When he's focused and locked in, 6-foot-3 wing Wol Yak plays well above the rim. 2020 Tyrek Street and 2021 Ryan Maslow are two other players that should step up and do well.
