SF Jaden Terrell (Wheeling – 2021)
Terrell is a lefty wing with size at 6’5” and a lanky frame. The lefty wing shined in the drills portion of the day with the way he knocked down spot up three pointers. Prospect with projectability moving forward.
SF Reggie Ward (Curie – 2021)
Ward is an interesting prospect. He has size and strength at 6’5” 195 pounds with long arms. Reminds me body type wise a little of Talen Horton-Tucker at the same stage. Like the handles he has in the open floor and has a solid overall skill package that can be developed.
PF Ola Ajiboye (Von Steuben – 2021)
Ajiboye is one of the higher ceiling 2021 posts in the state. Long and angular four man with projectability. Snatches rebounds out of the air at their highest point. Offensively likes to play with his face to the basket being able to hit a 15 foot jumper.
SG Jabari Chiphe (Walter Payton Prep – 2020)
Chiphe injured himself midway through the camp, but early on he was vocal in the drills portion. Directed his younger camp mates during the stations and displayed crisp passing and solid ball handling.
PG Ismail Habib (Lincoln Park – 2021)
Habib also suffered an injury in the early portions of the games. It wasn’t before he made enough of an impression on the coaching staff to earn a scholarship offer from UIC. Jet quick guard that has tight handles and speed to burn!
PF Justin Cross (OPRF – 2020)
Cross is a long and lanky power forward at 6’8” who is peaking at the right time. The OPRF forward has played some of the best basketball of his career over the last couple months. What you have to like about Cross is the mobility and versatility he brings on both ends of the floor. Can switch defensively along with playing inside-out on the offensive end.
PG Jeremy Fears (Joliet West – 2023)
This was my first evaluation of the highly touted incoming freshman point guard. Fears was a force on the defensive end of the floor. Put a ton pressure on at the point of attack using his quick hands to get steals. Shows a natural feel for the game at a young age. One to definitely watch going forward.
SG Gary Clay (Rich East – 2021)
Clay is a Rich East two guard that has potential to develop into a nice prospect over the next two seasons. The athletic guard gets a lot of elevation off the floor on his jump shot which he hit at a decent clip.
SG Jaylin Gibson (Evanston – 2021)
Gibson was another prospect that unfortunately wasn’t able to finish the camp because of injuries. I liked what the top 10 2021 prospect brought to the table in the drills. Displayed a nice combination of handles, shooting growth, and explosion to the rim.
SF Marshun Williams (Lindbloom – 2020)
Williams has nice size at 6’5”. The lefty wing has a decent looking jump shot.
SF Ahmad Tims (Hinsdale South – 2021)
Tims is the younger brother of Aaron. Definitely a quality prospect in his own right. He is more of a perimeter based three man. He showed a solid looking three point shot and plus athleticism.
SG CJ Nwosu (Von Steuben – 2020)
Nwosu is coming off a strong summer with Full Package. Power wing with strength and plus athleticism. Jumper needs to be more consistent. What you have to like about his game is his slashing, how he high points rebounds in traffic, and how hard he plays on both ends of the floor.
SG Jack Hays (Von Steuben – 2020)
Hays opened our eyes up recently at a camp and had another nice day at the elite camp. The lefty shooting guard has a crisp looking jump shot and a burst off the bounce which he often finishes with runners.
SF Paul Zilinskas (Riverside Brookfield – 2020)
Zilinskas is one of the better shooters in the senior class. The 6’5” small forward is a plus three point shooter that has an advanced all around skill level. Shows versatility bombing in threes and scoring on slick drives through traffic.
SG Anthony Coleman (OPRF – 2021)
Coleman continues to see his stock rise each time we see him play. Slick ball handler that got to the rim with ease throughout the camp. Dished a couple nifty assists. At times he can be a bit out of control. Like his length and anticipation on the defensive end.
PG RJ Walker (Decatur Eisenhower – 2021)
Walker is primed for a big junior season. The 6’2” guard can really shoot the basketball from three. Smooth combo guard with range on his shot.
SG Daniel Mordi (Richards – 2020)
Mordi is a Richards two guard that can shoot it off the catch. Three and D wing at the next level.
G Davis Walker (Home School – 2020)
Walker is a Home School combo guard that has strength. Can play effectively both on and off the ball. Sound shooter spotting up and pulling up off the bounce.
SG Keynan Davis (Hampshire – 2022)
Davis is a 6’0” combo guard that has length. Quality perimeter shooter with projectability. One to track going forward as the young guard has a smooth offensive game being able to score from multiple levels.
SG AJ Storr (Kankakee – 2021)
Storr is a physical wing with size and strength on the perimeter. Played physical on the interior getting on the offensive glass for second chance points.
PG Jemere Hill (Joliet West – 2020)
Hill continues to see his stock go up each time he hit the floor over the last few months. Sound perimeter shooter as he drilled shots at the UIC camp.
