</span><span style="font-weight: 400;">Prep Hoops takes a look at several of the state’s top performers throughout the spring and summer.</span></p>
<p><b>Steele Chapman, 6’2, G, 2020, Campus, Kansas Pray N Play</b></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Chapman put together a strong offseason running the point for Kansas Pray N Play and picked up an offer in early August from </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">Kansas Wesleyan.</span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> A smooth guard with good size at 6’2 who can handle it, shoot it, rebound over taller player and defend the ball at a high level, Chapman brings a high basketball IQ to the floor with his passing and off ball movement. </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">Chapman also holds offers from Newman University and Missouri Baptist and is drawing interest from several other programs as well.</span></p>
<p><b>Willie Dotson, 5’10, G, 2020, Lawrence, Primetime Ballerz</b></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Dotson impressed this summer with toughness, willingness to defend and with his ability to run the point. He has the ability to pressure the ball 94 feet and at the offensive end brings the ability to handle the ball and distribute. He plays with intensity and works hard at both ends of the floor. </span></p>
<p><b>Tai Johnson, 5’11, PG, 2020, Campus, Oklahoma Impact</b></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Johnson hasn’t gotten a lot of hype here just yet, but he is poised for a breakout senior season in 2019-20. A solid, all-around point guard who likes to share the ball, set up teammates and run a team. He is a crafty ball handler who has a quick first step, is able to get to the basket and finishes well in the lane. </span></p>
<p><b>Peyton Mallory, 5’10, 2020, Lawrence, Grandstand Elite</b></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Mallory impressed this summer with his ability to score, shoot and create offense for himself and others. A slender, 5’10 point guard, Mallory brings good quickness, has the ability to create off the dribble with a nice change of pace and the ability to change directions quickly and has the ability to finish in the lane around bigger defenders. Mallory has nice touch from behind the 3-point arc and can make contested shots from distance.</span></p>
<p><b>DJ Stubblefield,5’10, G, 2020, Olathe South, KC RUN GMC 17 RISE</b></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Stubblefield is a strong guard with good handles and a clean shot. He’s a tough, gritty defender who is capable of picking the pocket of an opponent or taking a key charge. Stubblefield is a well-rounded offensive player who manages to find a way to carve out a path to the basket and finish in the lane. </span></p>
