Jordan Nesbitt 6’6″ Brad Beal Elite 17U (St. Louis Christian): An impressive offensive player with excellent size who displayed scoring ability from all three levels. He has a strong low post game which he used to dominate smaller defenders inside. His mid-range game was on point as he drained several 15-17 footers off the bounce and he complimented it with some well-timed 3-pointers. He is a tough match-up problem with his size and versatile set of skills.
Cachao Gianquinto 6’3″ Marcus Denmon Elite (Battle): A talented wing put together a very nice weekend in helping his team to the championship game. He moves at his own pace and he stays under control and he always gets to where he wants to go, which is a product of his size and excellent ball handling ability. He attacked the basket well and scored on a number of twisting drives in the lane.
Najee Williams 6’3″ Marcus Denmon Elite (Blue Springs): The bouncy wing was one of the most explosive players that I watched during the weekend. He was very active as a slasher on offense who also did an excellent job of crashing the offensive boards. He was constantly in the passing lanes on defense and creating turnovers, which resulted in some impressive transition dunks.
K.J. Lee 6’5″ Brad Beal Elite (Fort Zumwalt North): A long and lean wing player who provided excellent perimeter shooting off the bench for the 16U champions of the tournament. He has a confident stroke from well beyond the 3-point line with good form and rotation on his shot. He has displayed improved ball handling and playmaking skills to compliment his shooting.
Liam Weaver 6’3″ Marcus Denmon Elite (Pembroke Hill): An excellent all-purpose player who does several things well to help his team be successful. He handles the ball well and passes the ball well enough to facilitate when needed. He will battle for rebounds and get his share of loose balls while knocking down open 3-pointers. He is an excellent glue-guy for a tremendous MDE team this summer.
Brendan Harter 6’2″ Missouri Basketball Club (DeSmet): A solid young wing with good athletic ability in which he displayed with several nice drives to the basket. He attacked the basket well going left and right and finished well in the lane. His perimeter shooting was also very solid during the weekend.
Chance Campbell 6’0″ SEMO Bulls (Poplar Bluff): A thick bodied wing player who always seemed to be in the right place at the right time, which means he knows how to play this game a little bit. He came up with some big plays for his team during the weekend, whether it was a key offensive rebound, a clutch 3-pointer or a steal and a layup when his team needs it.
