16 — Rishaud Dockery, 6’2, G, 2020, Bonner Springs, Team KC
Dokery is poised for a huge breakout season in 2019-20 after largely playing a supporting role last season at Bonner Springs behind senior guard Keyon Thomas and Alan Watson. He is armed with the ability to do the little things at a high level, whether that’s defending, rebounding or getting on the floor for a loose ball … but has also shown this summer he can do the big things equally well. He handles it, can run the point, play on the wing, gets to the basket off the bounce where he is a strong finisher and can stick the 3 as well. He is a player college programs should be checking out this fall.
3 — Tymer Jackson, 6’0, G, 2019, Sunrise (Kan.), KC Pacers
Jackson was among the state’s leading scorers a year ago in Kansas and has opted to prep next year at Sunrise Christian. He is a skilled guard who can handle the point, bring the ball up the floor and score in a variety of ways. He has a nice pull-up jumper off the bounce that he used several times to score key buckets for the Pacers and is a crafty finisher in traffic.
13-Thomas King, G/F, 2020, Campus, NLHA Gaddis
Can extend plays around the perimeter and is good at rolling to the basket and finishing plays close to the rim. He has hops and showed up in transition where he had space to dunk or score two off the glass. He also proved himself as a flexible player – someone who saw time on the block and on the wing due to his accuracy from distance.
1 — DK Middleton, 6’3, G/F, 2020, Free State, Primetime Ballerz
Middleton has put together a strong offseason and is poised for a breakout senior season at Free State. He has good size, length and athleticism. He has a versatile and well-rounded offensive game, able to score the ball at all three levels and play multiple positions. He can handle the ball, pass, rebound and runs the floor well and can finish tough chances around the basket.
34 — Paul Oieno, 6’7, F, 2020, Sunrise Christian, KC Pacers
An imposing physical player, Otieno is a strong presence on the block who is difficult for teams to match-up with. He works hard in the post for position, yet plays an unselfish game, often letting the game come to him without forcing the issue. Otiero is capable of throwing down powerful slams in the lane or stepping out and making open 3-pointers. He runs the floor exceptionally well and is a versatile defender, able to lock up post players or get out on the perimeter and move his feet.
