Flying Under The Radar: 2020 Prospects (Part 1)

<p>Plenty of talent goes unnoticed in the game of basketball. With very few spots to be had overall when looking at the full landscape from high school to college, some really good talent gets left behind.</p> <p>Here is a look at some 2020 Florida athletes who are flying under the radar with some starting to gain some traction.</p> <h3><strong>Larry Scott (Jupiter)</strong></h3> <p>It has been a very steady summer for 6'3" guard <strong>Larry Scott </strong>with the Jupiter Jaguars. The Jupiter senior prospect plays hard every time I see him. He is a very confident leader who likes to control the flow of his offense and his ballhandling ability creates problems for defenses. He recently earned his first offer from Navy. Scott is an ideal fit for any low Division I program or Sunshine State Conference Division II program including some right in his backyard. His ability to serve as a combo guard with his shooting and passing is ideal for the next level.</p> <h3><strong>JaKeese Kemp (McKeel)</strong></h3> <p>The downhill instincts of 6'2" McKeel guard/forward<strong> Jakeese Kemp</strong> really help him make an impact. He's a difference maker with his mix of burst, elusiveness and overall pace on the break. Kemp has a nice little mid-range jumper as well in which he loves to find space from the corners to shoot. This summer with Tony Bradley Elite, Kemp provided quiet leadership and reliable stretch play offensively and core rebounding defensively. Look for him to have a standout senior season and make some noise in Polk County.</p> <h3><strong>Amaire Perkins (Sanford Seminole)</strong></h3> <p>On a Sanford Seminole team absolutely stacked with speedy athletes who double as basketball and football players, 6'1" guard <strong>Amaire Perkins</strong> makes things go. The senior guard had a nice summer with Raptors Elite and his mix of upper body strength, attacking and overall toughness help his overall stock. Last month, Perkins added his first offer from George Mason. A constant run and push up tempo group, he is part of the fold and can hold his own.</p> <h3><strong>Jamal Norris (Ocala Vanguard)</strong></h3> <p>A gifted outside touch shooter, 6'3" Ocala Vanguard guard <strong>Jamal Norris</strong> was super impressive when I watched him during the July Live Period at the Best Of The South. He was hitting from deep with ease and making defenses look foolish to be quite frank. Norris shot an impressive 46 percent from 3-point land as a junior while averaging 17.3 PPG. He can get to the rack as well. Norris is in for a banner senior campaign and should gain traction.</p> <h3><strong>Zae Wiggins (Lincoln)</strong></h3> <p>Quick and athletic point guards seem to always find a home at Tallahassee Lincoln and 5'11" <strong>Zae Wiggins </strong>is the next one in line. He averaged 14.0 PPG and 3.5 APG as a junior with a 30-point season-high against Chiles. Wiggins dashes up and down the floor and is in total control of his team's offense. At the Florida State Team Camp, he had the ball on a string and made defenses pay.
