Nick Wasilewski 6’5″ Gateway: A very athletic young forward from Jackson who displayed his explosiveness on several occasions with many dunks during the weekend. He has a high motor to go along with that bounce as he run from end to end and stays active. He has a nice touch around the basket and also made a number of short baseline jumpers. I like his upside.
Austin Vick 6’7″ Knights Basketball Academy: A big post player from Westminster who helped the Knights win the championship with his solid inside play. He has a nice touch around the basket and can step out to hit high post jumpers. He has good footwork and can execute a nice spin move in the post for a bucket.
Jameal Goines 6’5″ Carroll GoL1ve: A very active forward from DeSmet who was excellent in the championship game against the Knights. His activity was excellent and his rebounding on both ends of the court was boss. He especially did a great job on the offensive boards and he also chased down loose balls to keep possessions alive for his team.
Jimmy Lansing 6’7″ Gateway: A very capable post player from Chaminade who is also an excellent prospect on the football field. He has a big body and a good set of fundamentals when he operates in the post. He can seal his man, catch and score with a variety of moves with good footwork and a nice touch with both hands. He is also a very good passer out of the double teams.
Kyron Thropes 6’4″ Carroll GoL1ve: A very explosive young forward from Confluence Prep Academy who had more than a few entertaining dunks on the day, either in transition or on some very nice alley-oops. He is still developing his offensive game, but he has the ability to put the ball on the floor and cause a matchup problem for an opposing big.
