Leon Bond Leon Bond 6'5" | SF Wauwatosa East | 2022 State #62 Nation WI – 2022 – F – JH1 Elite
There’s a lot of sophomores with very high ceilings in this class. Bond may have the highest and after the weekend, Bond put himself in the discussion to be a top-five prospect in the next rankings. The 6-foot-4 forward can go coast-to-coast with the basketball and was terrific in isolation settings, pulling bigs away from the rim and going to work. Also a high motor big that protects the rim and rebounds on both ends, Bond just brought a ton of energy to the floor.

Josh Crubaugh Josh Crubaugh 6'4" | SF New Berlin Eisenhawer | 2021 State WI – 2021 – SF – JH1 Elite
Crubaugh wasn’t ranked coming into the weekend, but after his performance against Wisconsin Playground Club in the 16U quarterfinals, he ensured that his name will be called in August. The New Berlin Eisenhower wing is just a shot maker and is comfortable sizing guys up and shooting over the top. He was clutch all game long against PGC, allowing JH1 to stay within striking distance and briefly take a lead late in the second half.
Aiden Flynn Aiden Flynn 6'5" | PF Marquette | 2020 State WI – 2020 – PF – Wisconsin Rap
Flynn played a very aggressive brand of basketball throughout the weekend. Wisconsin Rap, whose had a big travel season, greatly benefitted from the additional offense that Flynn provided in Chicago. The Marquette standout had an 18 point, 9 rebound performance Saturday night against All Arkansas Red. The lefty was excellent at slashing from the high post and finishing through contact around the rim. While he’s a little undersized and doesn’t stretch the floor a ton, Flynn should be a high priority for Division 3 programs right now and could play his way to the Division 2 level should he start to expand his range.
Hayden Doyle Hayden Doyle 6'0" | CG Brookfield East | 2021 State WI – 2021 – G – Wisconsin Playground Club
Doyle might not ’wow’ anyone in any particular area, but he’s a kid you’d love to have on your team and hate to compete against. The Brookfield East guard played an infectious brand of basketball, making numerous hustle plays, creating defensive stops, and hitting big, timely shots. There’s no doubt that PGC doesn’t get to the 16U title game without Doyle’s efforts on Sunday.
Amare George Amare George 6'6" | PF Wisconsin Lutheran | 2020 State WI – 2020 – PF – ABC Young Lions
A kid we didn’t really know about prior to this past weekend, George has a long way to go, but certainly has a ton of upside. A long, athletic forward, George is very raw physically and skills-wise, but has better touch than you’d think when you watch him play. George caught the ball well in traffic and was able to put home contested baskets at a fairly high level. The 6-foot-6 senior runs the floor very well and his teammates love finding him for easy assists. George has a lot of work to do if he’s going to be a college prospect, but he’s a ball of clay that a school could mold into something very productive.
Luke Haertle Luke Haertle 6'2" | SG Lake Country Lutheran | 2022 State WI – 2022 – G – Wisconsin Playground Club Black
Haertle is a physically advanced guard that uses his strength well on the court and can just out-tough people on both ends of the floor. For most of the weekend, Haertle was the alpha dog on a very good PGC squad. Haertle showed plenty of offensive takeover and three-level scoring ability. He also had the game-winning shot as time expired against JH1 Elite to secure a share of the 15U title.

Darius Hannah Darius Hannah 6'8" | PF Milwaukee Academy of Science | 2020 State #345 Nation WI – 2020 – PF – All-In Athletics
Hannah missed most of his junior season with a torn ACL. If you didn’t know any better, you’d think Hannah was all the way back to 100 percent. In a lot of ways he was. Hannah played better than I had ever seen out of him and put himself back in the top 10 of the class of 2020 rankings with his performance. A walking double-double in Chicago, the Milwaukee Academy of Science standout flashed a hugh upside. At 6-foot-9, Hannah can handle and shoot the basketball off the dribble. He’s got a smooth and efficient face-up game from mid-range. Using his ridiculous length on the defensive end, Hannah protected the rim at a high level. His lateral quickness is still coming along since he returned late last season, but Hannah does appear to have most of his bounce back.

Jaylyn Kelley Jaylyn Kelley 5'11" | PG Wauwatosa West | 2020 State WI – 2020 – G – Wisconsin Surge
After seeing him again in Chicago, I didn’t feel like Kelley was ranked high enough. He’s made some very positive gains with his body and all-around shooting ability over the last year and looks like a kid that could be one of the biggest surprise performers in the state next season. He’s a little undersized, but Kelley has some explosiveness on the ball and the quickness to get the defense out of sorts. The Tosa West guard also has terrific touch in the mid-range and is comfortable floating shots from 6-8 feet rather than trying to attack bigs.
Jacob Ognacevic Jacob Ognacevic 6'8" | PF Sheboygan Lutheran | 2020 State #413 Nation WI – 2020 – PF – Wisconsin Playground Club
Ognacevic plays with a lot of talented guards, so touches aren’t always as high as he’d probably like. The Sheboygan Lutheran standout also comes off the bench for PGC, but was definitely a big part of their run to the Final Four in Chicago. A skilled, versatile forward who can shoot it at a high level from 3-point range and also put the ball on the deck, Ognacevic had a 30-point effort Saturday night. Ognacevic can also dominate with his back to the basket and showcased some outstanding footwork and post moves throughout the weekend. A strong mid-major prospect, Ognacevic likely cemented his status as a top 10 player in Wisconsin’s 2020 class.
Jack Rose Jack Rose 6'5" | SG Westosha Central | 2022 State #213 Nation WI – 2022 – G/W – Wisconsin Playground Club
I hate driving to Southeast Wisconsin. There’s no decent way to get there from Madison. I have a feeling Rose is going to add some stress on my life over the next three years and forcing me to make the trip to Westosha Central quite frequently. Rose was somebody we elevated up to No. 6 in the 2020 class in the most recent rankings. He may not have the upside as some of his counterparts, but if he continues to play this well, we’re going to have no choice but to put him higher, potentially into the top three. The 6-foot-3 sophomore just went off in Chicago, registering a number of 20-point games. Rose just devastated defenders with his ability to create shots off the dribble or move without the basketball and get open along the perimeter. A high motor wing that battles for everything, Rose is a blue-collar, roll your sleeves up and do the dirty work type of player as well.
