Kai Buliox Kai Buliox 6'0" | PG Milwaukee King | 2020 State WI – 2020 – PG – Wisconsin Surge
A prospect that wasn’t on our radar, Buliox definitely has our attention now. Facing a very athletic Team Rose squad, Buliox, at times, was the best player on the floor. Bulioix is a very strong ball handler that absorbs contact well and draws a lot of fouls. He’s quite shifty in the open floor and was often getting coast-to-coast. In the halfcourt, Buliox was solid in pick n’ roll settings. He can turn the corner and get to the cup or create a switch with a big and isolate himself on the perimeter.
Tyrese England Tyrese England 6'1" | CG Wisconsin Lutheran | 2020 State WI – 2020 – G – Wisconsin United
England was a big reason why Wisconsin United was able to put away All-In Athletics on Friday. While he’s currently unranked, England made sure his name will pop up after July. A scoring combo guard with a sweet mid-range game, England ate up the zone by getting into the soft spots and pulling up from 12-15 feet. England also created for his athletic frontcourt on Friday. Baiting defenders with an excellent hesitation dribble, England was able to draw and dish for a number of baskets.
Jacob Hefle Jacob Hefle 6'1" | PG Germantown | 2020 State WI – 2020 – PG – Wisconsin Surge
A skilled and crafty point guard, Hefle made a handful of big plays during Friday’s loss to Team Rose. A great decision maker that doesn’t mess around with the basketball, when Hefle is on the floor, the ball movement is generally quite good. The ball never sticks to Hefle. He’s either moving it immediately or looking to attack. Hefle did a great job of putting his teammates in position to succeed, but he can also get his offensively as well. Able to play off the ball, Hefle is a quality catch-and-shoot threat from 3-point range. Not currently ranked, Hefle definitely put his name on the map after opening night.
James Randolph James Randolph 6'5" | SF Wauwatosa West | 2020 State WI – 2020 – F – Wisconsin Surge
He’s got work to do if a college program is going to take a shot on him, but Randolph still remains one of the more intriguing prospects in the 2020 class. The 6-foot-6 forward is very long, so long that he can grab offensive rebounds while he’s still boxed out well. Randolph was terrific on the glass on both ends of the floor during a loss to a good Team Rose squad. He’s still very raw, but Randolph is improving with his back to the basket and caught our attention with nice footwork and secondary post moves. One thing going for Randolph is his passing ability from the high post. The Tosa West standout sees the floor well and can drop some beautiful dimes while he’s in the paint.
Javeon Tolliver Javeon Tolliver 6'0" | PG Milwaukee Lutheran | 2020 State WI – 2020 – PG – Wisconsin United
Tolliver didn’t shoot the ball well, but credit to him, because it didn’t impact the other parts of his game. The Milwaukee Lutheran standout was a menace for Wisconsin United in their full court press. A plus-length guard that defends for 94 feet, Tolliver was causing all sorts of havoc — getting in the passing lanes and picking the pocket of ball handlers. While his shot wasn’t falling, Tolliver was still able to create quality looks against the zone. A top 50 prospect with an interesting frame, Tolliver should be a relatively sought after prospect for Division 3/NAIA programs, but could certainly elevate his stock with a prep/JUCO stint.
Owen Ziegler Owen Ziegler 6'1" | SG Mount Horeb | 2020 State WI – 2020 – G – Wisconsin Hoops Select
Zieger was able to shoot his team back into the game in the first half during a loss to the Chicago Grinders. The Mount Horeb product got off to a fast start, scoring 14 points in the first half alone on four triples. Ziegler commanded the attention of the defense, knocking down shots from well beyond the arc. Ziegler doesn’t possess a ton of athleticism and is a little undersized, but his range and ability to set his feet very quickly make him a difficult cover. In fact, Ziegler has such a quick and automatic trigger, there are times he doesn’t even need to have his feet set or his body pointed towards the the basket. Facing a fast and athletic Grinders squad, Ziegler cooled off as the game wore on, but was able to compensate by finding cutters and putting his teammates in position to score.
