State Recruiting News

<p>Several prospects have seen an increase in their overall recruiting as of late. If there is anything to learn from recruiting news, it is to stay hungry. Athletes that want to play at the next level must keep working. There are thousands of kids across the country all trying to play at the next level. Here is the latest in recruiting news:</p> <p><strong>Indrek Sunelik- </strong>The 2019 wing has committed to Northwest Florida State College. Indrek is an elite shooter with great size at 6'7. He spent part of the summer playing for the Estonian national team.</p> <p><strong>Jalen Myers- </strong>Myers has been a hot name of late. The 6'7 wing has good scoring ability from all 3 levels and rebounds extremely well. Troy, Auburn, Jacksonville, and San Diego State have all offered recently.</p> <p><strong>Mark Sears- </strong>Sears has been offered by Elon. This kid played extremely well on the EYBL Circuit for the Alabama Fusion. Sears has proven to be one of the top point guards in the state.</p> <p><strong>Tommy Murr- </strong>Not surprised by Lipscomb and Coach Acuff extending an offer to Murr. The 6'1 guard fits perfectly into Acuff's hybrid Princeton offense. Mid Majors that are looking for a high IQ scorer will keep Murr on their radar.</p> <p><strong>Shannon Grant- </strong>The big man from Sylacauga has picked up an offer from in-state Spring Hill. At 6'9-6'10, Grant is a load to handle down low and on the glass. This kid has received interest from several NAIA, D2, and LM level schools.</p> <p><strong>Justin Buford- </strong>The 6'6 small forward has picked up two JUCO offers from Lawson State and Shelton State. Buford has great size for the perimeter and is a solid athlete. He played well in the North vs South All-Star game.</p> <p><strong>Chance Beard- </strong>The 6'5-6'6 high motor forward has received an offer from Spring Hill. Beard is a high academic athlete who plays hard on both ends of the court. He has received interest from several D2 and D3 programs. </p>
