The Hustle Region Finals day two gave me a good opportunity to see players for the second and third time and really get a feel for players that can push through fatigue and perform at a high level. This event has a mixture of talented prospects ranging from D1 on down and this report will fall in line with that as well. Here are some standouts from the Hustle Region Finals day two that are legitimate college prospects for the next level.

Day 2 Standouts:

2020 6'4 SG Carlos Garcia (WA Elite 17u) - Carlos is one of the better performing guards in the entire event. He is a strong and athletic off guard that can operate from multiple spots on the floor. He can really score the ball from the high post position and he elevates well in the paint. His best attribute is his passing and he is one of the few players that makes the pass up the floor to start the break, instead of trying to start and finish the break by himself. A solid D2 level prospect. He has interest from Central Washington. *Feature image

2020 5'9 PG Dedrick Mitchell (WA Elite 17u) - Quick and aggressive guard that competes, despite having a thin frame. He distributes in the half court and pushes the ball on the break. On defense he has quick feet and hands and can hound the opposing team's point guard. Dedrick has the ability to play at some small college, with the exact level to be determined.

2020 6'5 F Kobe Barrientos (New Mexico D1 Ambassadors 17u) - It took me watching his game from start to finish, but Kobe had some eye popping moments, including a mind blowing 360 dunk on a baseline drive. He also has a decent shooting stroke, but he does lack some aggressiveness at times. He is talented enough to stand out consistently, but needs to assert himself on both sides of the ball every play.

2021 6'9 C Christian Ubochi (California Select Black 16u) - One of the best college prospects in the entire event is playing at the 16u level. Ubochi is a long and athletic center that can alter and block countless shots every game if he wants to. He explodes off the floor well when he gathers himself, although he needs to work on his core strength and balance. Ubochi did hit a mid range shot and it is apparent he is working on that aspect of his game. Overall, Christian is a raw and young talent, but the college potential is there. High major potential with proper development.

2020 6'4 SG Blake Cabrera (Fastbreak Sports 17u/ CA) - Smooth shooter off the catch or off the bounce. He showed some sneaky athleticism that caught me off guard a couple times in the game I watched. Although he can shoot off the bounce, he needs to work on breaking his man down and making plays going to the rim. He is is best right now operating off the shot fake and making straight line drives. If he can work on changing direction, his college prospects will open up more. A sleeper nonetheless!
