K.J. Lee 6’5″ Francis Howell North: The long shooting guard was one of my most impressive stock-risers in the month of June. He is an excellent 3-point shooter with a quick release and range out to more than 25 feet, but he showed much more than a perimeter stroke during the week. He displayed some excellent playmaking skills with moves off the dribble and some nice passes to open teammates. He’s thin, but he’s getting stronger physically to play through contact.
Emmanuel McLemore 6’3″ Wentzville Holt: A very physical wing player who is a tough matchup problem with his big body and guard skills to match. When he gets downhill, he just bullies his way to the basket for buckets and three-point plays. His shooting touch from 3-point range has also improved, which makes him very difficult to defend.
Nick Roper 6’5″ MICDS: A nice wing player with good length who has seen his stock rise this month with some very solid performances throughout the past couple of weeks in June. He continued to display his nice lefty stroke from 3-point range, but he is starting to develop his skills from the mid-range area while also taking the ball to the basket with a little more strength.
Anthony Lewis 6’1″ St. Dominic: The 3-point shooter deluxe enjoyed some more excellent moments from the perimeter as he showcased his nice long distance stroke. On a young team, he has taken a lot more of the ball handling responsibility as he passed the ball well and made solid decisions with the ball. He also does a good job of coming off screens and setting screens to get himself open for perimeter jumpers.
Myles Estrada 6’0″ Francis Howell Central: A very unique shooting guard who has the ability to get buckets on the perimeter and in the low post. He is an excellent 3-point shooter off the catch who can get hot at a moment’s notice. He is also an excellent low-post player despite being a 6’0″ guard. He posts up strong in the paint and can score with either hand around the basket.
Michael Henneberry 6’5″ Lafayette: A new player on the scene who I watched for the first time and was impressed with his versatility and ability to impact the team in many different ways. He was constantly in motion, which enabled him to excel in the transition game, rebounding and offense off the ball. He is a solid shooter who can also handle and pass the ball and make the offense move better when he is on the floor.
