Moving On. Braeton Motschenbacher and Jaden Klabo were two of the top three scorers with Braeton being the leading scorer in the EDC. Braeton will play hoops at Concordia-Moorhead and Klabo has signed to play football at NDSU. Harrison Thom was a valuable starter/reserve plus Jayden Roos and Dooly Mayour were deep bench players.
Cameron Van DamReturning Starters. Six-foot-3 guard Cole Hage, 6-foot-2 guard Grayson Haman, and 6-foot-6 forward Cameron Van Dam played in the state title game for the second place finishing Davies squad. Hage and Van Dam both grabbed seven plus boards a year ago plus Van Dam was second in the league in assists. Hage is one of the top shooters in the league returning from a 13 point per game season. Haman made 38.6 percent of his threes a year ago and Van Dam is a top returning shot blocker in the EDC.
Reserves Playing a Bigger Role. Six-foot-3 forward Justice Noel and 6-foot-1 guard Ty Satter played off the Davies bench a year ago and will be in line for even more time this winter. Noel has had a fantastic 17u season with ECI taking advantage of an increased role. Satter is one of the top workers at the guard/wing spot as he rebounds well and is trusted as a passer. Third on the team in steals last season as well. Noel and Satter could mix with Hage, Haman, and Van Damn to make a strong, experienced senior five.
More Potentials from the JV. Six-foot-5 junior Owen Hektner is the top player to watch in his class helping Davies this year plus 6-foot-1 Galvin Haldis should have a role too. At 6-foot-8, center Nate Hensel should be able to help from the JV team as well.
