Atlanta, Georgia - The 2019 NCAA Georgia team camp tipped off this weekend in Cobb County, Georgia. Schools like Wheeler High School, McEachern High School, and Marietta High School and Middle School were the host schools for a plethora of college coaches, scouts, and media outlets. A plethora of head coaches from high major and mid major programs were in attendance. Schools like Clemson, Virginia Tech, Ohio State, Arkansas, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Georgia State, Tulane, VCU, Arkansas Little Rock, Charleston Southern, Xavier, and others were in the gym.

Note: part two of two

2022 PG Bruce Thornton of Milton High School pictured - One of the state's top prospects in the 2022 class, rising sophomore Bruce Thornton had himself an eye opening performance this past weekend during the June live period. Picking up offers from high major programs like Clemson and Tulane over the weekend, the 6-foot-2 point guard has high upside. Bruce has had a solid spring running with TSF Mack (GA) in the Nike EYBL. He holds nice size at his position and has a mature physical profile to go along with it. Thornton is a facilitator with fairly well ball handling skills and has that playmaking ability on both ends of the floor. Coming off his freshman campaign at Milton, Bruce will look to improve his game coming into his sophomore season.

2020 F Melvin Edwards Jr. of Carrollton High School - Melvin Edwards Jr. was one of the most impressive and surprising prospects throughout the entire weekend. He is a 6-foot-6 physical wing with gifted athleticism. Melvin was an impact player on both ends of the floor by either scoring offensively and getting stops on the defensive end of the floor. He is an explosive athlete when driving to the rim and was able to connect on multiple jumpers from beyond the arc. Edwards Jr. picked up a couple offers this weekend from schools like Tennessee State and Tennessee-Chattanooga. The rising senior will certainly be a prospect to keep an eye on going into the July live period.

2021 PG Danny Stubbs of Pebblebrook High School - Rising junior Danny Stubbs continues to prove why is one of the better prospects in the 2021 class in the peach state. Stubbs showed tremondous toughness with powerhouse Pebblebrook High School throughout the weekend. A confident playmaker who is can knock down jumpers from three point land, be an elite distributor, and finish through contact when driving to the basket. The 6-foot-1 point guard earned himself a couple of interest and an offer from James Madison after this weekend. Danny is an under the radar prospect nationally but that can change shortly.

2021 W Jamal Clyce of Pebblebrook High School - Here is a prospect who might not receive as much credit as others. 6-foot-6 Jamal Clyce has raised his level play over the last few months or show and it showed throughout the weekend at the 2019 NCAA Georgia event. If we are talking about hustle playmakers and energy guys who set the tone, then Jamal Clyce is your guy. Diving for loose balls, a vocal leader, and being an active defender are all the tools that are set in Jamal's DNA. After earning himself an offer only a few days ago from UAB, Clyce earned himself another offer after this weekend from James Madison.

2020 PG Jaden Walker of Discovery High School - Jaden Walker out of Discovery High School has been one of the interesting prospects we have in the state of Georgia. He is a 6-foot-4 point guard who put his skills on display this weekend at the NCAA Georgia. He showed great strength when driving to the basket and finishing through contact. At his size, he is able to see over most of his defenders and has the ability to utilize his size. Jaden was able to connect on multiple jumpers from the three point line and mid-range areas. Walker will certainly be on the live period watch once the July live period hits.
