For the vast majority of high school basketball players in Minnesota this year the best chance to play in front of a gym full of D1 coaches will be the MBCA Showcase at Anoka-Ramsey Community College on June 21/22 of 2019.
The event is invite only meaning the elite players in both Minnesota and South Dakota will be attending. So that brings us to the first question, what will the college crowd look like? The last time I checked the sign-up list it included double figure high major programs numbering in the 20 plus ranging from Maryland out east to Oregon State out west down to several schools in Texas and of course programs like Wisconsin and Indiana in the Big Ten. Every mid major and low major program that I’ve ever heard recruit Minnesota will be here as well as the many D2 teams in the area and other local schools. The college crowd will be massive.
So what is the talent level looking like in Minnesota? Many of you have likely seen the names on the MBCA twitter handle @MN_BCA
