Robert Martin 5’9″ CBC: The speedy young guard had an excellent weekend at John Burroughs as he created buckets and facilitated throughout the event. He stays low on the dribble and he can create the space to unleash and knock down 3-pointers off the dribble. He can also be a blur in the open court.
Caleb Burton 6’1″ O’Fallon: A very talented combo guard with good size and the ability to score in a lot of different ways. He got to the basket and scored on a variety of layups, floaters and runners. He is strong with the ball and his perimeter shooting touch is very good.
Tevin Gowins 5’6″ Hazelwood Central: An excellent pass-first point guard who did a very effective job of setting up his teammates and getting them the ball where they were best able to get buckets. He pushed the tempo well and also settled his team down to organize his team, plus he can make open perimeter shots.
Larry Abbey 5’8″ University City: The thick point guard is a young floor general who knows how to locate open teammates and keep them eating hearty over the course of the game. He stays low and strong on the dribble
Jaden McClain 5’9″ SLUH: Solid young lefty point guard who plays fast and knows how to change speeds and directions while on the move. Those attributes enable him to get in the lane and score among the trees.
Jamod Robinson 5’8″ Normandy: Young guard who has excellent quickness and plays with a lot of pace. He has slick handles and penetrates in the lane quite well to create offensive opportunities for himself and his teammates.
Eddie Weekly 5’11” DuBourg: Solid young guard who had a productive weekend with his quickness and good shooting from 3-point range. He has good quickness and strength and he can be a good defender.
