<p><strong>Casheus Covington</strong>, a class of 2020 guard from Archbishop Carroll, was a standout performer l<a href="https://prephoops.com/2019/04/live-period-warmup-sunday-standouts/">ast month at the DMVelite Live Period Warmup.</a> The 6-foot-3 lefty, who is playing with 17U 6th Man DC, scored efficiently, made plays in transition, and defended at a high level. Covington discussed his overall game and much more during a recent interview with Prep Hoops.</p>
<p><strong>PH</strong>: <em>How would you evaluate the team performance?</em></p>
<p><strong>CC</strong>: "I think we played pretty well. I think we could've done better in transition. We were straight on defense, but not really in transition."</p>
<p><strong>PH</strong>: <em>What is the most improved part of your game in the past few months?</em></p>
<p><strong>CC</strong>: "I'd say my jump shooting. In the past I've been streaky. I want to be able to consistently knock down jumpers."</p>
<p><strong>PH</strong>: <em>What's underrated about your game right now?</em></p>
<p><strong>CC</strong>: "Athleticism."</p>
<p><strong>PH</strong>: <em>Why is that underrated?</em></p>
<p><strong>CC</strong>: "Because It's something I've been working on. I've been doing explosive performance training."</p>
<p><strong>PH</strong>: <em>How are your grades right now?</em></p>
<p><strong>CC</strong>: "My cumulative GPA is around a 3.6."</p>
<p><strong>PH</strong>: <em>Who has been involved in your recruitment?</em></p>
<p><strong>CC</strong>: "In the past, Fairmont State and UMBC, but I haven't heard from them in a while."</p>
<p><strong>PH</strong>: <em>What do you think you can bring to a college program down the road?</em></p>
<p><strong>CC</strong>: "Toughness, defense, the will to win. The will to fight. The will to get it done."</p>
