Atlanta, Georgia - The NCAA has recently changed the whole landscape for college coaches and scouts regarding their recruitment this spring and summer. With only one spring live period this year, college coaches only had one chance to watch their recruits or new recruits in live action one time. The state of Georgia are just one of very few states hosting team and player camps in the month of June.

Back in October of 2018, a few Georgia coaches and athletic directors met at Eagles Landing High School to discuss the terms and conditions of this year's team and player camps. They have came to conclusion that the team camp locations will be held at Wheeler, McEachern, and Mareitta High School on June 21-23rd. They also have came to conclusion that the players camp, which is invite only for the top-100 prospects in the state, will be held at McEachern High School on June 28-29th.

A plethora of teams have already confirmed to participate in the team camps. Schools like Wheeler, McEachern, Norcross, Meadowcreek, Pebblebrook, Holy Innocents, Southwest Dekalb, and others are expected to compete. Players like Sharife Cooper, Matthew Cleveland, Jaden Walker, Cameron Sheffield, Sterling "Scoota" Henderson, Zocko Littleton Jr., Caleb Byrd, and others have already received invites for the players top-100 camp.

The players camp will be directed the same way as a USA Basketball mini-camp format. Skills, small group, and team competition will be displayed at the players camp. We have to give a lot of credit to the few coaches who put these events together for the Georgia prospects and teams involved. With the new NCAA rule, it has and will be difficult for prospects to receive attention from college coaches and scouts due to the NCAA's new rule.
