Mayhem in the Plex: Most Exciting Players

<p>When it comes down to the Prep Hoops Circuit, there are some exciting players to watch. High flyers, ankle breakers, no look passers and tough nose go-getters. Those players are at ever tournament Prep Hoops put on. Here are a few I got to witness at the Mayhem in the Plex, Dallas Tx. </p> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong><em>CJ Booker</em> -5'5-2022- Texas Impact 15U. Artl. Seguin TX</strong></span>.</p> <p>The most exciting kid I seen play all weekend. As a younger kid and at 5'5, he had the place going crazy in the Final Four of the Mayhem in the Plex. Hitting guys with crossovers, between the legs step back, euro stepping, diving in the crowd for lose balls, he did it all. Pouring 29 points on the opposing team, at his size, is not easy to do, especially going against double teams. He did just that, making buckets look like a walk in the park, Booker gained much respect from the basketball fans on Sunday. A walking highlight real, if Texas Impact 15U comes to town, go check CJ Booker out. Putting on another performance will be likely as he continues to get better. </p> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong><em>Wallace Onditi</em>- 6'9-2020- Dallas Showtyme Elite 17U,  Justin Northwest HS TX.</strong></span></p> <p>Another exciting player to watch is Mr. Onditi, a player who has great size and great talent. He does a great job at protecting the rim, which is really exciting to see. His timing was on point all weekend at the Mayhem in the Plex. Swatting balls into the stands, pinning basketballs on the back board, everything you want to see in a shot blocker. Not just a shot blocker, Onditi is an offensive threat as well that plays on the perimeter. A scorer who can play above the rim, he does a great job at taking advantage of his height and strength. Any defensive minded coach would love to watch Onditi in action, great size, great athleticism and a high motor, watch this kids stock rise. </p> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong><em>Kendural Jolly</em>-5'8-2020- Team Buddy Buckets 17U, Putnam City Original HS OK.</strong></span></p> <p>Definitely a kid that can get the crowd on their feet while he's playing. A quick and athletic point guard, he is one of the funnest players to watch on the circuit. Jolly can heat up in a matter of seconds, as soon as he see's one shot go down, its on. A shooter with range, the defense better attach to his jersey as soon as he crosses half court. Jolly has the body control  to go up and finish with contact over bigger players. I've seen him multiple times, sky above defenders and lay the ball in the rim and all anyone can do is shake their head at how acrobatic Jolly can be. The kid is a player and he keeps getting better in every game they play. </p> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong><em>Lewis Hughes</em>- 6'0- 2019- TSK Black 17U, Dobie High School Houston TX</strong></span>. </p> <p>If your a college coach looking for a point guard for this season, Hughes is a unsigned senior. I have a feeling he could put people in the stands, for the fact he can flat out leap off the floor. The most athletic point guard I've seen this summer, Hughes will put kids in the rim. He had one of the nicest dunks of the tournament, coming down on a fast break, defender tried to block his shot, Hughes had other plans. Getting the and-one, Hughes had the fans running out the gym after his posterizing one hand jam. You know you've made your presence known, when college coaches start flipping through the packet to find your name.  A 2019 unsigned senior, coaches need to get familiar with Hughes, he would be a great grab late. </p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
