Colby Baggett 6’2′ Team YOBO: The long and wiry point guard from Lee’s Summit West was one of the most impressive passers that I watched during the weekend. He has the ability to spot open teammates before they knew they were open and deliver perfect dimes. His handles were tight and he knows how to get to the basket and draw the defense. He also has a nice stop and pop jumper.
Brennan Watkins 5’9″ Marcus Denmon Elite: An excellent combo guard from Kearney who is a potent offensive threat from either guard spot. Once again, he displayed the ability to light it up from 3-point range. He was very good at coming off screens and shooting with the quick release or he could score with transition 3s. Plays with a lot of confidence.
Quran Taylor 6’2″ Marcus Denmon Elite: A strong physical point guard from University Academy. He is tough in the pick and roll where he can get downhill and attack the rim. He puts constant pressure on the defense. He also knocked down some 3-pointers with compliments his drive game.
Andrew McMillan 5’10” Yanders Law: A very solid young guard from Republic who was very good in leading his team to the championship game. He has excellent shooting range and he was not afraid to pull the trigger from long distance. He handled the ball against pressure very well and made plays for his teammates as well.
