For us, we are looking at those top players from Indiana. Today, we are detailing the top players at the wing positions. Here are the best we saw at Havoc in the Heartland.
Tyler Schmidt – 6’3 SF 2020 – Victory Christian (IN) – Indiana Dawgz 2020
Tyler is a big wing with some handles and creativity. There are plenty of skills in his game right now including shooting. Was good off the pull-up, showing good range. Showed a little slashing as well, best going to his left and was able to draw contact and finish. High-end scoring potential as he adds more strength.
Jordan Stolle – 6’4 SF 2020 – Richmond (IN) – Indiana Legends 2020
Jordan played pretty well this weekend, showing off that jumper and playing a little tougher with the ball in his hands. He’s going to be able to provide that shooting ability but he looked more willing to slash and get to the rim, even playing well in transition. The more he can add with his ball handling, the better to balance out his offense.
Ben Lins – 6’4 SF 2020 – Covenant Christian (IN) – Indiana Dawgz 2020
Lins is a big wing with some handles and length. More of a straight up agile forward that can play inside and out. Showed some rebounding ability on the offensive end and finishing against contact. Didn’t really look to shoot much, needed to fold that more into the game.
Nick Sebastiao – 6’4 PF 2020 – Scottsburg (IN) – Southern Indiana Shock 2020
Nick is a big wing with tons of strength but also capable of handling the ball and playing along the perimeter. Didn’t see him shoot it a ton but he looks like he will be a capable shooter with time. Best in transition and on defense. Can give you some versatility with his frame on switches.
Brandon Brooks – 6’4 SF 2020 – Elkhart Memorial (IN) – Tipping Point 2020
Brooks is a big wing with some strength. Good slasher who can handle the ball a bit. Versatility defensively and some skill that could still develop. Liked his aggressiveness and ability to impact the game. Wasn’t willing to let the play come to him. Good upside that could develop.
