2021: 5 Spring Standouts

The 2021 class attacked the spring. Several players were able to turn heads and separate themselves from the crowd. This group is full of potential and athleticism. Some players have played up a level and some players have dominated the 16U competition. There are 5 guys that have stood out do to their performances... JD Davison (Alabama Fusion)- JD is one of the most gifted athletes in the state. This kid is 6'2 and can play both guard positions. He makes plays on both sides of the ball. His athleticism is an extreme advantage, and it has made waves in the EYBL Circuit. JD is one of the few sophomores to be invited to Big Cat Weekend at Auburn. Brody Peebles (Pro One Select)- Peebles is a kid that could play up. He is such a gifted and natural scorer. The 6'2 combo guard is crafty and just makes plays. Peebles plays with such a high IQ. He's one of the most improved players in the class and MM level schools have already started ramping up the recruiting. Riley Leonard (PCBC Stars)- Leonard is a 6'4 wing that can flat out score. This kid is one of the best shooters in the state. He has really good length on the perimeter, and the wing competes hard on both ends of the court. The two sport athlete is definitely a LM-MM Level prospect. Josh Maston (Alabama Generals)- The 6'0-6'1 combo guard has improved tremendously this spring. Maston is a bulldog and very competitive on both ends of the court. This kid is a 3 level scorer and very crafty with the ball. Maston's effort and rebounding effort from the perimeter are things to make note of. Trinity Bell (Team Carroll)- Bell moved up to the 17U Circuit and has made a good adjustment. Bell is a big, strong, and physical post player. The 6'7 post is active on the glass, uses his body well, has soft hands, and finishes well around the rim. If Bell can stretch the floor more and develop more ball skill, he could really climb on the the national scene.
