PG Ashley Jones (District WAWG – 2019)
Jones is a 6’1” point guard that was the top performer for WAWG on the first night of UAA play. He won off the dribble getting in the lane for and-1s. Regularly made trips to the line. Decent jump shooter.
SF Benjamin Li (District WAWG – 2020)
One of the ultimate glue guys this weekend was this 6’6” small forward. He did a little bit of everything for his team and got the most out of his ability. Thick bodied forward played with a high motor, got on the offensive glass, and had a tough finish through contact when we were watching.
PG Jalen Cone (Team Felton – 2019/2020)
Cone had some buzz coming into the event and the 5’10” point guard from North Carolina did not disappoint. He is a dynamic lead guard that can create for himself and others. Burst of speed off the bounce and is blur in transition. Cone also is an excellent pull up jump shooter knocking down several threes and mid-range jumpers. Has some Jared Harper from Auburn in his game. Finished with 13 points. Could go either 2019 or 2020.
SF Brady O’Connell (Team Felton – 2020)
O’Connell is intriguing with size at 6’8” and the skill set to play on the perimeter. He is a sound shooter knocking down a baseline jumper and another three. Fluid running the floor and threw down a couple nasty left handed slams.
PG Ty Berry (KC Run GMC – 2020)
Berry is a high IQ point guard that has an excellent feel for how to run a team. Advanced for his age in that respect. Slick ball handler who can take his man off the bounce getting to the rim for scores. Capable three point shooter pulling up.
SG Evan Guillory (KC Run GMC – 2020)
This 6’2” shooting guard was super active on both ends of the floor in the game we caught. Glue guy that is scrappy on the glass, defends, and caught a lob.
PF Kian Scroggins (KC Run GMC – 2020)
There are some intriguing qualities with this 6’7” four man. Strong frame with broad shoulders. He was a physical rebounder in traffic grabbing rebounds with two hands. The lefty even stepped out to hit a three, but his forte is what he does on the glass.
SF Markell Hood (KC Run GMC – 2020)
Hood is a tough and powerful wing that likes to attack downhill. He did just that getting in the lane consistently off the bounce on powerful drives.
PG/SF Selton Miguel (Team Breakdown – 2020)
Miguel took over in the second half for Team Breakdown! This scoring point forward put his team on his back and carried them to a win. Takes and makes both contested jumpers and difficult scores at the cup. Miguel drilled the game winning three with one second left on the clock. Definitely has the clutch gene!
SG Wes Cardet (Team Breakdown – 2021)
We came away impressed with what this 6’5” sophomore two guard brought to the table. Extremely strong wing that is a superior athlete out there. He used that on both ends of the floor. Defensively swatted some shots and locked down on the perimeter. Solid scorer that has a pull up game.
C Nolan Foster (C2K – 2019)
Foster is one of the more intriguing 2019 unsigned seniors we saw at the event. At a legit 6’10” this center has a nice frame to continue to add strength. He was a rim protector blocking multiple drives that came his way. Adequate shooter knocking down pick and pop threes.
PG Zeb Jackson (C2K – 2020)
The Michigan commit was just ok when we saw him in our lone evaluation. You can see what makes him intriguing though. Long armed lefty that has size for position at 6’4” with quickness to match. He was best scoring off the bounce converting acrobatic layups. Didn’t shoot it great from three.
SG Josiah Fulcher (C2K – 2020)
Fulcher is a 6’3” two guard that has a strong build and likes to do the majority of his damage inside the lane. Layup off an out of bounds pass, runner, couple strong takes, and a put back.
F Keon Edwards (Texas Hardwork – 2021)
The upside with his jumbo combo forward is through the roof. Long and lanky 6’8” 2021 prospect is so projectable. Incredible length and versatility at the next level. Plus plus shooter with range out three with ease. Smooth shot that he got off whenever he wanted all game against the Illinois Wolves. Edwards also has the athleticism to score above the rim in transition. 17 points in the morning session on Saturday.
C Jerrell Colbert (Texas Hardwork – 2021)
Long and lanky five man at 6’10” has a lot of upside at the college level. Good rebounder using his length and timing to corral rebounds. Shot blocking potential. Offensively flashed a right handed hook shot. Will need to get stronger at the next level as he didn’t like physical play.
SG Marcus Dockery (DC Premier – 2020)
The Maryland commit is a point guard at 6’2” who displayed a burst with the ball in his hands. Had a knack for getting to the rim and made difficult transition layups.
SF Taj Thweatt (Team Rio – 2020)
Thweatt for Team Rio jumped off the floor with his ELITE athleticism at 6’7”. He had several monster put backs where he rattled the rim and had all the camera men going crazy! Seemed to always have his head at or above the rim flying in for rebounds or dunks. Even hit a three, but his forte is scoring off energy inside.
PG Noah Farrakhan (Team Rio – 2020)
Farrakhan showed flashes, but the top 75 recruit was far from dominant. He is a 6’1” guard with good athleticism. Takes and makes tough shots. Decent passing feel at the lead guard spot.
PG Myles Ruth (Team Rio – 2020)
Ruth is a smaller point guard that uses his speed in the open floor to get his team out and running. He threw a few bullet passes and is a capable three point shooter.
SG CJ Wilcher (Team Rio – 2020)
This 6’5” two guard opened our eyes with his play over the weekend. Thick bodied guard that can really stroke it from deep. Plus shooter both off the catch and pulling up. Solid mid-range game as well out of this crafty two guard.
PF Mikeal Brown-Jones (Team Rio – 2020)
The recent Penn State decommit is a junk yard dog four man at 6’8”. Broad shouldered post that has a strong base. He is active on the defensive end blocking shots, rebounding, and being physical on the block as a defender. He is efficient with his touches around the hoop.
