Louisiana 2020 Breakdown: New Faces pt. 1

<p><strong>D’Marcus Hall 6’5 F Calvary</strong></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Hall is a really versatile wing that can definitely score the ball. In my opinion, his biggest strength is his ability to shoot the ball from deep, but he is a better ball handler than you might expect. He is a pretty good defender, and can use his size to disrupt smaller guards..</span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Taevon Anderson 6’4 G Oak Grove</strong></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Anderson is a really smooth, talented off guard that is comfortable playing either guard spot. He is a high level athlete, that brings really good size for his position. His biggest strength is his ability to get a bucket whenever he wants. Anderson can really score the ball at all 3 levels, and is a high level shooter from deep. </span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Nicholas Council 6’0 G Tara</strong></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Council is a high level scoring combo guard. He is able to get to his spots really well, and when he does, there is little that the defense is able to do. He is a strong ball handler, and is really crafty as an offensive player. Council can see the floor well, but I think there is definitely still room for him to improve there.</span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Brian Lee 6’3 G Logansport</strong></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Lee is a combo guard with good size for the position. He can see the floor really well, and is able to use his size to simply see over the defense. He is a really good athlete, and he definitely excels in transition. Even though he has a bit of an old school game, where he is more comfortable as a playmaker than as a scorer, he is still a comfortable scorer, and has developed a reliable shot from deep.</span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>D’Mari Wiltz 6’1 G St. Augustine</strong></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Wiltz is a heady lead guard with a strong frame. He makes his money on the court as a high level slasher that is able to bully smaller defenders around the rim. He isn’t just a one trick pony though when it comes to finishing around the rim, and is a much craftier finisher than you might expect. He is a good athlete, and has elite end to end speed, especially with the ball in his hands. He is a strong on ball defender, and has the ability to be a real difference maker on that end of the court.  </span></p>
