Brandon Mitchell-Day 6’4″ Team Ramey CCM: A versatile young wing player with an excellent overall skill set and big upside. He’s capable of playing almost any position. He played point guard for his high school team and plays a lot at the “four” spot for Team Ramey. He is a skilled ball handler and passer with a high basketball IQ. Has the ability to be a strong defender with his size and length. He is also a very good rebounder on both ends.
Brian Taylor 6’2″ Knights Basketball Academy: A very athletic wing guard who played a big role in his team winning the 15U championship. He is a nice ball handler with slashing moves to the basket and the ability to finish at the rim. He is excellent in transition and he plays well without the ball. He also made an impact on the defensive end.
Nick Kramer 6’3″ Team Ramey CCM: It was my first opportunity to see Nick in action and I thought he was excellent throughout the weekend. He is a very good perimeter shooter who plays the game in a very efficient manner. He is a solid ball handler who can put it on the floor and doesn’t waste a lot of energy and motion to make plays. He has good shot fakes and has a nice set of fundamentals.
Isaac Turner 6’2″ Gateway: An excellent young perimeter shooter who has a lot of confidence in his ability to hit the long ball. He will pull up and let if fly from just about anywhere on the court. He knocked down a few pull up 25 footers during a game I watched. He comes off the screens well and moves well without the basketball to get himself open.
Tyrese Cannon 6’3″ Marcus Denmon Elite: A very athletic wing player who has a versatile skill set and a big upside. He was fully capable of grabbing a rebound and taking it coast to coast for an acrobatic layup. He also puts the ball on the floor to score and he operated well in the high post with his shooting touch and ability to score off a one dribble move to the basket.
Matt Buchanan 6’1″ Knights Basketball Academy: A very crafty wing player who has excellent handles and the ability to slash to the basket and score at many angles. His handles are tight as he can operate in tight spaces and still gets to where he wants to go on the floor.
