Drenin Dinkins 5’9″ Gateway: A very talented and exciting point guard who got buckets at all three levels in a very smooth way. He has excellent 3-point shooting range and he can also score in the mid-range with a variety of escape moves off the dribble. He also displayed some toughness in getting to the basket to scoring with both hands. He is one of the top small-school point guards in the state at South Iron.
Larry Abbey 5’8″ Team Ramey CCM: A young pass-first point guard who was one of the best passers in the entire tournament. His court vision was masterful as he spotted open teammates before they knew they were open. He has a stocky, compact build and he is tough with the basketball as well as crafty. He has a nice float game and he will knock down an open 3-pointer. Excellent floor general with a big basketball IQ. Attends University City.
Casen Lawrence 5’9″ Knights Basketball Academy: A very solid young point guard from Westminster Christian who really knows how to play the game. He has a solid build who knows plays at his own pace and knows how to operate at any tempo. He is deceptive because he always knows where he wants to go and he can handle the ball to get there. He is also a very good perimeter shooter.
Ryan Grimmett 5’10” Gateway: A lightning quick point guard who plays the game with a lot of speed and pace. He has nice handles and penetrating moves to the basket which result in layups or open opportunities for his teammates. He is also an excellent defender who will get up and pressure opposing ball handlers.
Matt Enright 5’8″ Team Ramey CCM: A little lefty from Webster Groves who plays a fearless game despite being the smallest player on the floor on most occasions. His confidence level is high and he is not afraid to get to the basket amongst the trees. He is a good ball handler and he can knock down his high-arching 3-pointers from the wing.
