Here are some names that were scorching the nets this weekend at the Future Stars Classic and they came in all sizes.

Jackson Clausman 2024 MN Lightning Boll

Jackson is a stretch big for his team and he proved it all weekend long that if you don’t get your big to step out and guard him from three he will make you pay. He was knocking threes from all over but his favorite spot seemed to be the top of key where he did most of his damage.

Tate McDonald 2024 MN Swish

Tate is a crafty guard that can score at all levels on the floor and showed some nice handles as well. Where he was deadly however was from beyond the arc where he made teams pay that left him open for a split second. He would make threes off pindowns, ball screens and spotting up also.

Sam Kirsch 2024 MN Swish

When you have a team name like “Swish” you must have more than one shooter. This team does and Kirsch was another guard who could stroke it when left open. He is a small guard with decent handle but you give him even a tiny window of open space and he will make it.

Max Froslie 2023 ECI 14U Barta

Max is a long and lean forward but absolutely strokes it from the outside. He was a little bit of a corner specialist that made teams pay that came off him in the corner. He also showed nice touch around the rim at times but was more deadly from the outside.

Carson Hanson 2023 WOTN - Flavin

Hanson is a wing that could run on the break but could knock down some shots when left open. He had the green light it seemed no matter where he was on the floor and you could see why because he rarely missed.

Erik Ryan 2023 MN Select Himley

Another stretch big at this tournament that made a lot of his threes in semi transition trailing the play. He could also mess around with the big boys in the paint and get rebounds and help his team in a variety of ways.
