The Phenom Hoop Opening had tons of talent to showcase, especially when it came to the bigs and forwards. Here's a look at the best available bigs and forwards. Zack Austin - 6'7 - 2019 - Team Winston Zack Austin is an unsigned senior that should see an offer or two come his way before April. He's already got an offer from USC-Upstate. He's a versatile forward at his size for 6-foot-7. He can play on the wing but isn't shy about going into the post either. Down the stretch, he made some big plays around the rim to help lift his team to the championship over Team Renegade. Revv Tholel - 6'7 - 2019 - Team Loaded 704 Revv Tholel was another unsigned senior forward with the ability to play with his back to the basket and on the wing. He can run the floor on the break, making him an immediate threat in the transition game. With the ball in his hands, Tholel is as smart as anybody whether scoring or making plays for others. DII's in the area would be wise to catch him in action this spring. Jakob Moore - 6'8 - 2020 - Team Winston Jakob Moore was the other big man in the frontcourt that had a solid performance in the Phenom Opening. He's the athletic forward of the tandem and attacks the rim with reckless abandon with the ball in his hands. He's got ideal size for a power forward at the mid-major level. He'll be a prospect that teams should look out for this AAU season. Javarzia Belton - 6'10 - 2020 - Team Loaded NC Javarzia Belton is due for a big AAU season with Team Loaded after a season at Moravian Prep. He's a massive presence inside with his 6-foot-10, 240-pound frame. He's got a college-ready body already and is learning to play around the rim. Everything he caught in the paint was either a dunk or a layup. On defense, he swallows his opponents with blocks or steals. As he's learning to play around the rim, look for his status to rise. He's already got offers from Wake Forest, Wichita State and UNLV. Myles Evans - 6'9 - 2020 - NC Empire Myles Evans is working his way back onto the floor from a meniscus injury but that didn't stop him from giving his effort this past weekend. He's got traditional big man skills on both ends of the floor. He scores in the post with smart, fundamental post moves. On defense, he's working to become a shot-blocker around the paint. Currently, he holds an offer from Hampton. Jaden Seymour - 6'8 - 2020 - Team Charlotte Jaden Seymour has the makings of a top prospect in the state, if not the nation. He's learning how to establish himself on the wing and in the post and as he does, his confidence grows in other areas. He's got the ability to stretch the floor and play on the perimeter, making him a versatile nightmare on offense. Keep an eye on this kid. Seymour currently holds offers from NC State, Virginia Tech, Appalachian State and South Florida. B.J. Freeman - 6'6 - 2021 - Team Loaded NC B.J. Freeman is a player that's emerging as a solid forward prospect in the Class of 2021. He's got the size of a big but the skills of a guard on the floor and he uses it to the best of his ability. He's a player with point-forward skills on the break, especially off his own rebounding ability. He can also set up scores himself on all three levels. He earned game co-MVP honors with 2021 guard Elijah Jamison with 20 points, six rebounds and two assists in their semifinal victory over Team Charlotte. Tyler Fearn - 6'5 - 2021 - Team Charlotte Tyler Fearn is the player you don't want to leave open or he'll make you pay. Alongside 2022 guard Jalen Hood-Schifino, Fearn was a sharpshooting threat on the wing all weekend long for Team Charlotte. He was streaky a bit in stretches, but as he figures things out and grows into his body, he should be one prospect that earns a few mid-major looks.
