Hard Work Region Preview: TSA Select
We may be on the tail end of high school basketball season but it’s not too early to look ahead to what’s coming up on the AAU circuit. Over the next few months we will be taking a look at the teams that will be participating in the PrepHoops Circuit Hard Work Region and here’s a look at TSA Select.
TSA Select will compete in the 14U, 15U and 16U age divisions of the Hard Work Region and will be at Hard Work Live, Show Me Showdown, Summer Challenge and the Hard Work Region Finals.
I recently caught up with TSA Elite Director Roosevelt Smith to learn more about the program and what to expect from the program this season:
Why did you start your program? How long have you been around?
Our program has been around for about 10 years but newly renamed from Magic to TSA Select aka Talented Student Athletes.
What is the goal of your program for 2019?
In 2019 we’re looking to take a step into the light and start to see how this recruiting works.
What is your program’s mission each year?
Our goal as a program is to produce college basketball players all while creating great individuals as well.
Do you know of any players that will be back in your program this year? Who should we have our eye on?
We have 2 under the radar guards that can get under your skin by the names of Jerome Neal & Antonio Terrell. Both only standing at 5’8 on our 15U Team and we have a shifty guard that stands five ten named Torrence Robinson. And Fee is extra long wing man that’s ready for the test that’s on our 16U team. And last but not least, we have 3 players on our 14U team that people need to watch for and that’s Albert Harrell who can shoot with the best of them and plays on both ends of the floor. Another player by the name of Jaden who stands 5’11 and another Jayden that’s a nice athletic player.
Why did you choose the Prep Hoops Circuit?
I heard about PrepHoops from Gale from Peoria. I heard that you guys get kids the platform to showcase their talent equally and there is a wide variety of tournaments around the country. I’m proud to be a part of the PH Circuit.
