Hard Work Region Preview: Epic Hoopz
Although it is still in the middle of the high school basketball season in Illinois we are already looking ahead to the travel team circuit this spring. We will be previewing the teams participating in the PrepHoops Circuit Hard Work Region over the next few months.
Below is our chat with Justin Anthony of Epic Hoopz previewing this upcoming season!
Why did you start your program? How long have you been around?
EPIC Hoopz started 8 years ago to teach the game the right way, for our young players, and help the older guys fulfill their dream of playing college basketball. More importantly, we wanted to help the kids develop life skills to succeed off the court.
What is the goal of your program for 2019?
Our #1 short term goal is to get our players exposure and recruited to play college basketball. Our priority long term is to build relationships with our players/families that will lead to positive, tangible impact on the player’s lives years after they finish playing for EPIC.
What is your program’s mission each year?
Inspire youth to maximize the gifts and talents in faith, leadership and athletics.
Do you know of any players that will be back in your program this year? Who should we have our eye on?
LANE MCVICAR 2022 6’2″ wing that is one of the best shooters in the class!
ERIK HILL 2021 6’0″ guard that is under the radar. Terrific passer that has a good feel for the game.
TYLER MILLER 2020 6’1″ guard plays with great motor, on both ends of the court, and streaky shooter.
Why did you choose the Prep Hoops Circuit?
Prep Hoops has become the premier source for high school basketball coverage. This gives EPIC the best opportunity to get exposure for players.
