How is your season going?
We are 19-6 right now. We are getting a lot better as a team.
What do you see as your role with the team?
I see my role as kind of a leader, an offensive threat, but not only that I kind of help set the tempo for the team. That is what I believe my role is.
Can you tell me a few games you felt especially locked in personally? You felt very productive.
Yes. Bledsoe County earlier this year. I played great, but mainly our team played great. They helped me get going. Warren County. It was basically the same scenario. Those are the main two that I can think off of right of the top of my head.
As the regular season ends and playoffs arrive, name two challenging teams that you expect to face or hope to face.
Two challenging teams will be Cookeville and Stone Memorial. Right now I believe we are tied for first in the district with both.
Can you describe how good White County usually is at basketball. What is the school’s identity?
White County High School, we are usually pretty good. Known for shooting outside. They are always going to come out and give you their best game. That is what we are doing this year. That is White County High School basketball for you.
What kind of feedback do you get from your family on your basketball game this season?
I get pretty good feedback. My mom and my dad both grew up playing basketball. My brother played at MTSU for two years. They are very supportive of my game and how I play.
What does the head coach ask or guide you to do more of? To do better?
Being a shot creator. A facilitator for our offense. He mainly asks more of me to get rebounds and push the break.
Can you take a step back and tell me what skills you improved significantly in the last six months?
I feel like I have improved a lot in the rebounding area and I also feel like I have improved a lot going to my off-hand and mid-range jump shots. Mainly I am trying to focus on defense.
At this early point have any colleges expressed interest?
I have been talked to by a couple colleges, but nothing too major. TTU and Belmont have both reached out.
