Stock Risers: 2020 Florida Class

<p>The junior class is one of the best down in the Sunshine State.</p> <p>Here is a look at some 2020 prospects that have been off to a roaring start here in 2018-19.</p> <h2><strong>Scottie Barnes (University)</strong></h2> <p>6'8" Ft. Lauderdale University guard/forward<strong> Scottie Barnes</strong> will have his pick of the litter come next fall. Right now, he's playing at an extremely high level alongside Vernon Carey Jr. serving as the main ballhandler and a core defender. An energy maker and smart passer, Barnes ranks No. 3 in the nation by Prep Hoops and No. 1 in the state of Florida. Kentucky, Florida, Kansas, Oregon and Florida State represent his top offers currently. He simply gets better with each outing.</p> <h2><strong>Corey Walker (Bishop Snyder)</strong></h2> <p>Tennessee offered on Sunday while Clemson offered back in November, representing the two offers during this junior campaign for 6'7" Bishop Snyder forward<strong> Corey Walker</strong>. The lengthy and speedy wing has been a mainstay wherever he plays whether that is for his high school team or AAU program Game Elite. Walker has 25 plus offers which include Florida, Georgetown, Georgia, Maryland and Xavier. He ranks No. 3 in the state of Florida by Prep Hoops.</p> <h2><strong>Carlos Hart (North Miami)</strong></h2> <p>For a tough minded and hard working North Miami Pioneers squad, 6'5" guard<strong> Carlos Hart</strong> is the engine. His effort level and willingness to battle against the toughest opponents really impresses. Hart has good size and smarts on his side and is certainly going to make a name for himself as the season rolls on and North Miami makes a run in Class 9A. </p> <h2><strong>Eric Butler (Orlando Christian Prep)</strong></h2> <p>On a new look Orlando Christian Prep team, 6'2" guard <strong>Eric Butler</strong> has meant everything thus far to an 11-2 squad. In Class 3A, the Warriors are destined to go deep once again despite returning only one player from a loaded state championship squad a season ago. Butler is a point guard who settles everything down and he fits the bill at Orlando Christian Prep.</p> <h2><strong>Victor Rosa (Central Pointe Christian)</strong></h2> <p>Falling in love with Victor Rosa's game is easy. He seems to always take advantage of space and his quick jumper is very dangerous. Known for his 3-point shooting, Rosa sets the tone for his team and defenses hone in him which can open a lot for his teammates. The pace and IQ that Rosa plays with is consistent from game to game.</p> <h2><strong>Jahvon Smith (Norland)</strong></h2> <p>Transferring to Norland this season from Hallandale, 6'3" guard <strong>Jahvon Smith</strong> is noticeably stronger in his upper body. Built like a running back, he is settling in nicely for the Vikings, a team that always fares well with a deep group of athletes. Smith is in position to carve out a name for himself if he can continue to string good games together.</p>
