Here are some teams that had really good weeks:
Richland
The Colts had perhaps the best week of anybody at the Class B level, earning three solid wins over the course of a few days. Richland started the week with a dominant victory over Oak Grove, beating the Grovers 82-59. The Colts picked up a massive win Thursday, beating Kindred 51-40. Richland’s offense wasn’t perfect, but it showed the ability to win with strong defense which will be key again at some point later in the year. The Colts wrapped up the week with a third quality win, beating Carrington 59-49.
Larimore
Larimore sure rebounded nicely from an ugly, ugly loss at the end of the previous week to Grafton/St. Thomas. The Polar Bears picked off the No. 1 ranked team in Class B, Thompson, edging the Tommies 64-63. There was no letdown either, as Larimore added to its impressive week with a 62-53 win over North Border Thursday to improve to 9-4 on the season.
LaMoure/Litchville-Marion
The Loboes are riding an eight-game winning streak after earning two hard-fought victories last week over a pair of quality teams. LaMoure started the week with a blowout win over Maple Valley before capping the week with back-to-back close wins over Carrington and Enderlin. LLM is 11-3 on the year and right in the mix at the top of Region 3.
