Flasher vs. Shiloh – Tuesday, Jan. 29
The two contenders in Region 5 face off in what should be a compelling rematch and potentially a game we’ll see again in March. Shiloh beat Flasher earlier in January but teams evolve and get better. This one is a statement game no matter who comes out on top.
Hillsboro vs. Ada-Borup – Thursday, Jan. 31
Here’s one that doesn’t have any region seeding implications but should be a heck of a lot of fun. Hillsboro is one of the best five or so teams in Class B North Dakota and the Burros will get Ada-Borup, one of the best teams in Class A Minnesota. Ada-Borup beat Shiloh Christian in a double-overtime contest back in December – illustrating how good it can be. Hillsboro has played extremely well as guys gain experience around Carson Henningsgard.
Dickinson Trinity vs. Beulah – Thursday, Jan. 31
It’s a big week for Dickinson Trinity as the Titans have Beulah Thursday ahead of a date with Bishop Ryan Saturday. The matchup with Beulah carries a little more weight with regards to postseason play as both teams are still gunning for the top seed in Region 7.
White Shield vs. Dunseith – Thursday, Jan. 31
Dunseith has flown under the radar a little bit since a three-game losing streak to Rugby, Four Winds/Minnewaukan and Bishop Ryan (all by eight points or less) early in the season but the Dragons are legit. White Shield is one of the best offensive teams in Class B, so this one could be a high-scoring affair.
