Hard Work Region Preview: Motion Elite
Although it is still in the middle of the high school basketball season in Illinois we are already looking ahead to the travel team circuit this spring. We will be previewing the teams participating in the PrepHoops Circuit Hard Work Region over the next few months.
Today we look at Motion Elite who will have 13U-17U teams on the circuit. They will be at Hardwork SZN Kickoff, Battle at the Lakes, Show Me Showdown, and Hardwork Region Finals! We spoke with DeAndre Evans about their program heading into the spring!
Why did you start your program? How long have you been around?
Motion Elite will be entering its third year of operation in 2019. Our program was the result of being apart of another program in which things were not done the right way. Coach Alex Blunt and Coach DeAndre Evans felt the players and their development should come first not only as basketball players but as individuals as well.
What is the goal of your program for 2019?
In 2018, Motion Elite really hit the travel scene in a big way creating a lot of buzz on the circuit. In 2019 , we are looking to not only continue our program growth, but we are really looking to promote and give exposure to our deserving very talented hardworking student athletes.
What is your program’s mission each year?
Each year as our program grows, we strive to provide the best development opportunities for our athletes on and off the court. We try to continually build relationships with college coaches, tournament director, and recruitment agencies. However we can develop for and educate our student athletes about the college level we make it our mission to accomplish that.
Do you know of any players that will be back in your program this year? Who should we have our eye on?
This season, we will have 2021 top 30 forward Olamide Ajiboye from Von Steuben HS on our 16u roster. Along with guard Enari Thomas from Marshall HS and guard Adrion Zakrzewski. Motion Elites 16u roster will be full of exciting players to be on the look out for.
Why did you choose the Prep Hoops Circuit?
Motion Elite felt that the brand new Prep Hoops Circuit will be a great opportunity to help our athletes get college recognition. With Motion Elite being fairy new and this being the first year of the Circuit, we feel that this will be a great long term relationship.
