Stock Risers: Small School Guards raising their profile (2019)

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">With the season underway and closing in on the Holiday Break, Prep Hoops takes a look at several small school guards who have raised their profile in the early stages of the season.</span></p> <p><b>Payton Froese, 6’0, G, 2019, Inman</b><span style="font-weight: 400;">  @Froesepayton3</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Froese is a high basketball IQ player who does a little bit of everything at a high level. He can handle the ball, gets to the basket and can run a team at the point guard position. A coaches’ son, Froese brings the type of leadership you expect from a coach on the floor. He can shoot from the perimeter and has a knack for making big shots.</span></p> <p><b>Aaron King, 6’4, G, 2019, Yates Center </b></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">King has good size at 6’4 and the ability to put the ball in the basket. He is averaging 20.6 points and 15.3 rebounds as well as 2.4 assists, 2.3 steals and 2.9 blocks per game this season and has helped lead Yates Center to a 6-1 start. He moves well off the ball, can create offense a little off the bounce and can knock down outside shots as well.</span></p> <p><b>Mason Griffin, 6’2, G, 2019, Silver Lake</b><span style="font-weight: 400;">  </span><b>@</b><span style="font-weight: 400;">MasonGriffin22</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">One of the state’s top scoring guard, Griffin can do a little bit of everything. He has a big strong frame for a guard and can absorb a hit and finish through contact. He is a terrific 3-point shooter with good balance and a lot of range, and he can put the ball on the floor and create scoring opportunities. Griffin has helped lead Silver Lake to a 4-1 start this season.</span></p> <p><b>Dyelan Reed, 6’3, 190, G, 2019, Concordia</b><span style="font-weight: 400;">  @Dyelanreed30</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Reed has had some big games this season already, showcasing a versatile, well-rounded offensive game. He has terrific size, good athleticism and the ability to do a lot of things on the basketball court at a high level. He is a strong outside shooter, can handle the ball a little, rebounds well and can create some offense off the dribble.</span></p> <p><b>Brayden Sadler, 5’11, G, 2019, Udall</b></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Sadler is averaging 29 points and 7.7 rebounds per game and has scored 40 or more points twice this season already. He is shooting 60 percent from the field, and 43 percent from 3-point range, having made 20 3-pointers through seven games. He has helped Udall start the season strong as the Eagles are 5-2.</span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
