LA HABRA — Last week’s North Orange County Championships at Sonora high school was won by San Juan Capistrano JSerra over Lakewood Mayfair in epic fashion.

Lions wing DJ Rodman scored 29 points, including a game-winner with 0.5 seconds left on the clock, to give JSerra the 63-62 victory.

Here’s the final five performers from the week-long event.

Tobin Igros, Sonora

Igros doesn’t do anything flashy, but his steadiness at the point guard position cannot be overlooked for the Raiders. The 6-foot-1 junior rarely gets sped up or turns the ball over and is always putting his passes when and where his teammates need them to be successful.

Alex Archer, Cerritos

Archer has to do a little bit of everything for the Dons as the team’s best player. The 6-foot-3 sophomore guard has an intriguing frame and ideal all-around game which lends to his high upside. Archer can initiate offense when bringing the ball up the floor, but can also play off the ball as needed.

Jalen Reyes, La Mirada

Reyes is a crafty left-hander who can put points on the board in a hurry. The 6-foot-1 junior has a deadly stop-and-pop jumper from the mid-range level, but can also get by defenders on the perimeter and finish around the basket with variety in his layup package.

Ra’jon Belyeu, La Mirada

Belyeu is the second part of the lightning-quick Matadores back-court and his impact comes by way of scoring from the perimeter and locking up on the defensive end. The 5-foot-10 senior is super fast when sliding laterally and can pick-pocket ball handlers with his quick hands.

Nathan Williams, Anaheim Canyon

Williams has one job for the Comanches: Hit the corner 3-point shot. He does that job quite well with his balance and fundamental shooting mechanics. The 6-foot-4 wing has hit 12 3-pointers through Canyon’s first 11 games, including three against Sonora at the NOCC.
