Newcomers in 2019 Rankings: Part III
Check out newly ranked members of the senior class below.
If you want to look at the complete rankings, smash here.
Newcomers are either players previously undervalued or possibly players that developed their game in the last few months. For most of the newcomers we ranked it simply comes down to lack of exposure. They didn’t advance as far in the playoffs as other players or their AAU team was playing on a forgettable circuit.
For whatever reason these players escaped the @PrepHoopsTN gaze until now. Read about why they earned their way into the latest 2019 rankings.
These players represent five newly ranked Class of 2019 hoopers (ranking listed left of their name).
#60 Julian Hibbler (Cordova)
Cordova’s senior Julian Hibbler linked up with Bruce Guy to pick up a sprinkling of November wins. Hibbler scored 30 points against Memphis Central to open the season. Hibbler also collects rebounds very well.
#75 Dionte Anding (Southwind)
From Germantown High to Southwind, Dionte Anding transferred in the off-season. At 5-foot-9 Anding scores well, not Mark Freeman exceptional, but well. Anding gives SHS hopes of advancing deep in the playoffs.
#78 Keshawn Colbert (South-Doyle)
Starting combo guard Keshawn Colbert projects as a small school lead guard. Colbert is very quick and dangerous in the open floor. Colbert can handle and also break through defenses. His Cherokee’s hover barely above .500, which certainly disappoints.
#85 Bryson Kimsey (Copper Basin)
Senior wing Bryson Kimsey enters the holiday season averaging 26.0 points per game. Kimsey’s rebound totals are also staggering as they reside upwards of 11.0 rpg. Kimsey’s Cougars of CBHS compete in Class A Region 2. Last spring Kimsey landed on the All-Distrct team.
#99 Landon Wilson (McMinn County)
Surprisingly bouncy wing Landon Wilson performed splendidly at the @PrepHoopsTN Fall Combine, recording a 34″ vertical leap. Wilson’s footspeed also bettered most of the combine participants. Landon Wilson’s shooting touch and mid-range game are a little better than average. Wilson projects as a Division III possibly NAIA talented wing.
