Inside the Numbers: Bridgewater-Emery
In 2017 Bridgewater-Emery was holding the state championship trophy high in the air after their 63-58 victory over Wolsey-Wessington.
With some of their top players back from the championship run two years ago, the Huskies were poised to repeat. But that ended when Clark/Willow Lake beat them in the semi-finals 67-62. The Huskies would end up placing third place with an 87-79 victory over White River.
This year with three starters back along with top scorer Sawyer Schultz, the Huskies are eying that third state tournament appearance in a row and another shot at the title.
