2019 Ahmir Langlais Recruitment Update
Atlanta, GA – The 2019 forward Ahmir Langlais of Holy Spirit Prep is looking to have a big senior season with his new school. The 6-foot-8 forward could be considered a real sleeper in the state of Georgia. Ahmir ran with Atlanta Xpress this past summer alongside top Georgia standouts in Clemson commit Chase Hunter and Anthony Edwards.
Ahmir has offers from schools like Middle Tennessee State, North Florida, College of Charleston, Old Dominion, Florida Gulf Coast, Georgia Southern, and East Tennessee State. He has expressed interest from Georgia Tech, Georgia, UAB, Seton Hall, Western Carolina, Kansas State, Murray State, Tennessee State, Tennessee Tech, Troy, and Northeastern.
“College of Charleston is recruiting the heaviest. We are hearing a lot of Murray State and Middle Tennessee. Tennessee Tech has also been coming on strong as well”, his dad tells me. He also tells me that they have set one official visit so far to College of Charleston on October 13-14th and are working on a visit to Old Dominion and others.
The rising senior has transferred from Parkview to Holy Spirit Prep, a school who features top 2020 SG Anthony Edwards. Ahmir is a key addition to this Cougars squad whose size and length will certainly help them in the front court. He is versatile forward who can run the floor well and holds a high IQ for the game. He has an inside presence and has a huge effect on the glass as well.
