July Recruiting Recap: David Ejah (2019)
David Ejah
6’5 | SF | 2019
Fort Wayne Carroll (IN) | Indy Heat 2019 Red
Offers: Huntington University, Wheeling Jesuit, Saint Francis (IN)
Where His Recruitment Is At: Things are starting to heat up for David Ejah who is picking up a slew of offers in the last two weeks. Wheeling Jesuit was the first to pull the trigger, followed by Huntington and Saint Francis. Ejah has played really well the month of July and looks like he is ready to break out with many schools making calls on the 6’5 wing. Expectations are that more DII programs will get involved because of his size and scoring ability and athleticism. His upside is that of a DI talent and while we expect a few schools to call on him, that may be more of a high school season thing if he can show more consistency in his play between now and then.
Scouting Report: Ejah is a big, long wing that has improved a ton in the last year. Jumper is much more reliable and he has good strength to play down low as well. That ability to mix and match inside and out makes him extremely valuable. Really like his length and how he can use it defensively and on the boards. His mid and deep jumper have come around and he’s more of a polished offensive player that can now find production. If he can show that consistency on offense, along with that elite defensive versatility, he should be a very hot commodity.
