Arch Elite Showcase (Class of 2019 Forwards)
Here are some of the top forwards from last weekend’s Arch Elite Showcase in St. Louis:
Stevie Wright 6’5″ Knights Basketball Academy: A bouncy combo forward from Webster Groves who was one of the most impressive rebounders I watched during the weekend. His athletic ability and high motor made him a force on the offensive glass throughout the tournament. He also displayed his usual nice work along the baseline. He is also starting to develop his perimeter game as he handled the ball and knocked down a few jumpers.
Erik Lahm 6’10” Arsenal Hoops: A long and lean post player from Lindbergh who continues into develop into a very effective player. Although he’s slight of build, he doesn’t back down from physical play. He loves to challenge shots and protected the rim pretty well. On offense, he has a nice touch around the basket and he can step out and make a 15 footer.
Cole Laurence 6’8″ T.E.M. Select: A solid post player from Farmington who is an old-school back to the basket player. He gets good position in the post with good seals and footwork and combines it with the ability to score with both hands. He has an impressive up and under move.
Class of 2018
Sekou Delembe 6’8″ Gateway Basketball Club: A physical beast at 230 pounds who punched the clock and displayed some dominance around the basket. In one game, he put up close to 20 points and 20 rebounds as he played with force and a high motor. He is a solid scorer in the low post, but his rebounding is his true strength.
