There are many areas and hotbeds of talent in the state and we want to take a little bit more of a microscope to them to see what the nuances of the state will produce in each class. This is our look at Region 5 in Southeast Indiana.

Breakdown: The class of 2019 in the Southeast part of Indiana isn’t deep this year and like every year, is usually the lightest area with depth and top end talent. This year, Cobie Barnes will lead the area but both Drew Comer and Zach Kuhn could join him if they have strong summers.
As for the depth at each level, here is our breakdown: Tier 1 (HM-MM): #1-1, Tier 2 (LM-DII): #2-3, Tier 3 (DII-NAIA): #4-7, Tier 4 (NAIA-DIII): #8-15
The area doesn’t produce a ton of talent in general but there are some guys that have some upside and could jump up a level this summer. Zach Kuhn, Drew Comer, and Matt Frost are three guys that could really benefit from playing well this first month. They all have the ability to draw interest from schools pretty quickly with Kuhn and Comer’s shooting ability and Frost’s versatility and ball handling.
As for what depth this area does have, there are a lot of guards and shooters. Reece Thomson, Josh Williams, and Logan Laster are the best of the true point guards but the 2/3 shooters are a plenty with Comer, Kuhn, Gross, Richards, and Felling.
Those who we will focus on this spring are Kuhn, who could really show off his whole arsenal, Felling, who has been putting up some serious numbers, and Frost who will likely be able to showcase that versatility we talked about.
