Breakdown: The class of 2020 has a few qualities but one that doesn’t seem to be as deep right now is athleticism. There are guys that have that ability but quite a few others that don’t. It will be interesting to see if more of those raw skill guys can develop into real players but this list is lighter than some of the others we have put together.
However, there are plenty of guys in this group of ten that have a ton of it. Namely, Tayson Parker. He’s the best of the bunch and probably by a wide margin. He’s also done really well developing and has enough skill to be a legit player.
Taking a look at that next tier, Tre Coleman, Chris Grubbs, Tony Perkins, and Victor Young are high upside options. Coleman has a little above the rim action but he’s really adept with his lateral ability and speed for his size. Grubbs is a guy who has a little bit of everything with his athleticism that can really show out. He’s got the ability to finish high and move on the floor. Young has that kind of explosiveness that is really fun to watch.
Brandon Bell and Brevin Jefferson bring together the speed aspect who can really be a difference maker. Julien Hunter is a guy that has size and speed that can impact the low post and transition game. Dillon Duff is similar in that regard as well but might be a little more mobile. Tony Perkins is one of the more explosive players in the class and could be among the more fun guys to watch as well.
