The class of 2019 has so much size and it is still developing but one area they do show a ton of promise that the past few classes haven’t is with their rebounding ability.
Sydney Curry is a such a good rebounder. He’s got to bring it every time but when he is locked in, you can’t pry it from his hands. He’s got so much strength that is makes it difficult to even be in the same area.
Mawich Kachjaani is so, so long. He’s really improved on the offensive end the last year but he’s always been a really good rebounder and shot blocker. His timing is solid and he can get so many balls outside of his area just because of the length.
Mason Gillis has the best motor in the state and it has always helped him with his rebounding. He’s grown and become more athletic and a little longer and all those things go into the reason why he might be the best rebounding prospect in the state.
Jalen Johnson has taken off a bit this year and become a bigger impact player. His rebounding is solid and most of that is due to his strength and agility. He’s really quick to the spot and so, so strong. Best days are ahead of him too.
Logan Carter, for his size, has a fantastic motor and he’s the biggest player on this list. He can overpower anyone and it takes multiple guys sometimes to slow him down. Good hands, good feet, and the size to take over down low.
