2021 Spring Preview: Northeast Indiana’s Best
Something new we are looking at this year is looking at different regions or quadrants in the state. There are many areas and hotbeds of talent in the state and we want to take a little bit more of a microscope to them to see what the nuances of the state will produce in each class. This is our look at Region 2 in Northeast Indiana.

Breakdown: The second region of the state we are looking at is the Fort Wayne area all the way south as Richmond and as far wast as Logansport. This is still a fairly strong area for the freshman class producing 11 of the Top 60 in the state so far. You have a couple high-major talents in Caleb Furst and Jalen Blackmon to really show off at the top.
This isn’t as built up with size as some of the other areas of the state but the depth of guards here is really good and there are a couple wings that have a lot of upside in Brady Hunt and Jacob Moynihan. You also have two guards in Jalen Blackmon and Luke Brown who will probably be able to attack the 2,000 point career scoring mark at some point in their careers.
As for the rest of the group, most of the talent is in the Fort Wayne area but you do have quite a bit of rural schools like Delta, Manchester, and Blackford who aren’t normally big time talent producers on this list. That is great for the state and great for the area because Fort Wayne will probably produce some more talent over the next few years.
